What kind of restaurant is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch?

Looking for a good pasta place in Haeundae? Here's a Western restaurant I'd recommend for a family meal out or a date in Haeundae — Bueokgan Haeundae Branch. The address is 200 Dalmaji-gil117beon-na-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, 2nd floor, open daily 11:00–21:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 16:30, so keep that in mind.

The location is great and parking is convenient, so I (Ridya) come here often just for coffee. Oh, and by the way, Bueokgan actually has a café bakery, a Chinese restaurant, and a Western restaurant all in the same building. I love Bueokgan so much I've visited all three — is that just me?!!! Today I'll be recommending the Western restaurant side of Bueokgan Haeundae Branch.

Seating for families and how to order at the table

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch was really spacious. I visited with my husband and child, and there were a lot of families dining out there too — so it was really nice to bring our kid along for a meal. They have baby chairs too, just so you know.

I liked that you could order right from the table — no need to keep calling a staff member over! The tables were nice and wide too, so a whole family could sit together around one table (sofa-style), and if that's uncomfortable for you, there's also the option to sit in chairs instead. There was also a clear separation between the area facing the kitchen and the area away from it. Since I had my kid with me, I picked the sofa seating, which is easier for a child to sit in.

The drinks we ordered came out first. Zero-sugar Coke, of course ??? !! So refreshing and delicious. I sat on the sofa side facing the kitchen, and honestly the kitchen looked really clean and hygienic. You could tell they pay attention to that, given how many families dine here.

Just from this, you can tell how spotless the place is kept, right? Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a clean, tidy restaurant you can trust to eat at.

The set meal: pizza, pasta, salad and two drinks

Now let's take a look at what I (Ridya) ordered. I got the set meal — it comes with pizza, pasta, a salad, and two drinks, and honestly it was great value and delicious too.

Mushroom salad

First up, the mushroom salad I ordered. My husband and I said we should buy mushrooms and try making this at home, but then wondered — would it actually taste this good if we made it ourselves? Haha. That's how good it was. There were tons of mushrooms in it too. They came out slightly roasted in the oven, and I was like, eating like this, you could actually diet, right? Haha haha.

While waiting for the food between courses, I took a little look around the restaurant. The interior was so pretty...

Spicy shrimp pasta

Next up was the pasta! The shrimp were really plump and it was nicely spicy and delicious. And the noodles were so springy — I mean, it's the same kind of pasta, but how could it be this good? Haha.

Sweet pumpkin soup

Oh, I almost forgot the soup — the pumpkin soup that's also part of the set menu. You should definitely order it separately too, even outside the set. It's really delicious.

Truffle mushroom pizza

Then came the truffle mushroom pizza. It was loaded with mushrooms, so the topping alone gets a pass from me ?? And there was plenty of cheese too, which made it delicious.

It tasted even better paired with the pumpkin soup ? Dipping the crust end into the soup, I ended up scarfing down both the soup and the pizza in no time ? It was so good... I wanted more. I was a little worried it would be too much mushroom-on-mushroom (from the salad all the way to the pizza?), but there wasn't a single bit of that worry left...

Why Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is worth a return visit

Next time I want to try the cabbage salad, which I saw was also on the menu, and write another review. It's a great spot for going with family, the photos come out well, and there are mirrors all over the place making for plenty of photo spots — I saw groups of young women there taking lots of pictures too ?
