Where is Min Cook Misoyaki? Across from E-Mart at Hwajeong Station

Min Cook Misoyaki is a Japanese-style grilled fish restaurant across from Hwajeong E-Mart. You won't spot it from Hwajeong Rodeo Street's main strip, but walk toward E-Mart and you'll find it easily :)

It's about a 5-minute walk from Goyang Children's Museum, 3 minutes from Hwajeong Catholic Church, and 3 minutes from E-Mart — worth a visit if you're already in the area!

They say this grilled fish restaurant carries the touch of Master Chef Min Kang-hyun, a Korean Master Craftsman in Japanese cuisine!

Let me walk you through the main menu! Premium rice bowls: Min Cook Misoyaki's signature hearty meal. Signature grilled fish: crispy outside, tender inside — fish prepared with various techniques by a Japanese cuisine Master Chef. The grilled fish comes in two styles, misoyaki (miso-seasoned) and shioyaki (salt-seasoned) :)

Raw salmon sashimi bowl, 15,000 won: what comes with it

I ordered the raw salmon sashimi rice bowl for 15,000 won at Min Cook Misoyaki. I also got three fried shrimp on top through the receipt review event. Look how much salmon there is~! I've been eating light dinners lately so I was starving after my workout ㅠㅠ I ordered the raw salmon sashimi rice bowl to load up on protein properly!

Just like at Min Cook Dashima, a pre-meal porridge comes out! BUT this time I didn't eat it! Last time I was so hungry I finished the whole porridge and then couldn't eat much of the main dish~ but that porridge really is nutty and delicious 🙂

Pre-meal porridge + soup + salmon rice bowl + crunchy pickled radish, this whole combo for 15,000 won! 💛

The salmon slices were also really thick, which made it even better :) No fishy taste at all, and there was plenty of sashimi to enjoy all the way to the last bite! 🙂

You can also adjust the rice portion! If you usually eat a lot, go with the larger rice option 🙂

Pile on the salmon, scoop up a good spoonful of rice, add a bit of radish sprouts and wasabi, then take a big bite :) Eating a sake-don (raw salmon rice bowl) after a while was seriously so good 🙂💛

Three fried shrimp free with a Naver receipt review

If you take part in the Naver receipt review event, they give you three fried shrimp! Three pieces, wow! 😮 Definitely worth doing the Naver receipt review event :)

Lots of nearby office workers come here for lunch! Groups of trainers come for the grilled fish to get their protein in. It's also great for eating alone, so if you're looking for a solo dining spot near Hwajeong Station, I recommend Min Cook Misoyaki! Next time I'll have to come back for grilled fish and pork cutlet!
