I had a weekend lunch at Jju Baksa Magok Branch, a webfoot octopus place near Seoul Botanic Park in Magok! This spot is known for its octopus and jjusamgyeop (grilled octopus with pork belly). They even have outdoor terrace seats, which were perfect for eating outside in this weather. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious, so I left completely satisfied 😍

The restaurant was clean and pleasant. There are indoor seats with nice cool air conditioning, and outdoor seats where you can enjoy a lush green park view. Since the weather suddenly turned cool like autumn, we grabbed a table outside 😆

Pickled radish, glass noodle salad, perilla leaves, and egg soup arrived first as side dishes. Sitting outside enjoying the park view really felt like a picnic, and it put me in such a good mood 😍 With the autumn breeze drifting by too~ I bet it'd have great vibes at night as well!!

Jjusam for three with beef brisket, ordered less spicy
Deliciously fire-grilled octopus-pork belly for three, plus beef brisket!! You could choose your spice level, and since we're not great with spicy food, we went mild. If you order it spicy, you'll probably get a much redder-looking version, haha.
Isn't the fried rice on the griddle so colorful and pretty?! ❣️ Topped generously with seaweed, perilla leaves, pickled radish, kimchi, flying fish roe, and more, it looked even more delicious.
The hot cheese egg custard was amazing too. So much cheese that stretched endlessly, and such a generous portion!! It was a perfect match with the spicy octopus.

The octopus was fresh, so it had a nice chewy texture and tasted great. The beef brisket was savory and tender too, which was so nice. The seasoning was spot on, and eating it with the fried rice was absolutely delicious 👍
The portions were generous too, so the lunch special left us feeling well fed. I'd recommend it as a lunch spot for office workers in Magok.
On our way out, they even gave us candy 🍭 Thanks to the kind and thoughtful staff, we had an even more enjoyable meal at Jju Baksa Magok Branch, this octopus restaurant near Seoul Botanic Park.
