Osaka-style menchi katsu lunch set in Gangseo, Seoul: 362 Kitchen
In short
362 Kitchen Yangcheonhyanggyo Main Branch is a Japanese restaurant on Yangcheon-ro in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, that turns into an izakaya after 5pm. For lunch during a work outing, the writer had the Osaka-style menchi katsu set (₩14,000) and the wellbeing rice bowl (₩13,000) with a mini udon add-on (₩2,000) — the menchi katsu was juicy inside, and the rice bowl was filling but easy on the stomach. Worth a visit if you're near Deungchon-dong or Gayang-dong looking for a tidy Japanese lunch.

Craving Japanese food in Deungchon-dong? 362 Kitchen
A while back, I went out for a work errand and stopped for lunch with a coworker at 362 Kitchen Yangcheonhyanggyo Main Branch, a well-known Japanese restaurant in Deungchon-dong. We were hungry and worn out after wrapping up a morning schedule, and this lunch really recharged us — here's the review.

What's the vibe like inside 362 Kitchen, a good lunch spot near Yangcheonhyanggyo Station?

The interior had a warm feel, like stepping into a real local restaurant in Japan. The space is compact and decorated with cute little props, which made it look like a great spot for solo dining too. It's clean and cozy — perfect for an office lunch near Yangcheonhyanggyo Station, or as a meal stop after a date at Seoul Botanic Park.
What are 362 Kitchen's signature dishes like — price and taste?

Every table has a tablet for browsing the menu and ordering, which was really convenient. We picked the Osaka-style menchi katsu set and the wellbeing rice bowl, plus a mini udon add-on.

Osaka-style menchi katsu set, ₩14,000
The Osaka-style menchi katsu set (₩14,000) is a Japanese-style cutlet set made from ground beef and pork, deep-fried. It's crispy outside and packed with juicy meat inside, so every bite had a rich, savory flavor filling my mouth. Topped with a bit of wasabi and dipped in the sweet-and-savory special sauce, it made a fantastic side with rice.

Wellbeing rice bowl, ₩13,000
The wellbeing rice bowl (₩13,000) is a poke-style bowl loaded with healthy avocado, natto (fermented soybeans), fresh raw salmon, and vegetables, finished with a light sauce. I think it was my first time having a rice bowl with natto in it, and the softness of the salmon paired really well with the nutty flavor of the natto. Even though the portion was big, it wasn't heavy on the stomach at all thanks to the healthy ingredients.

Mini udon add-on, ₩2,000
You can add a mini udon for ₩2,000 when ordering a main set or rice bowl, so we did. Even as a side dish, the noodles were wonderfully chewy and delicious. Having warm udon broth alongside made the meal much more filling — glad we ordered it.
Any tips on Naver reservations or extra perks?
During peak hours there can be a wait, so it's worth reserving ahead through Naver. Book easily through Naver and make sure to grab those discount coupons before you go.
In the evening, the restaurant transforms into an izakaya with a variety of side dishes and drinks, so it's a great spot for a light drink after work or a date after hours.

They source fresh ingredients from the market every morning and even make their sauces in-house, so you can really feel the care put into the food. If you're near Yangcheonhyanggyo Station, Deungchon-dong, or Gayang-dong and craving a tidy Japanese rice bowl or menchi katsu, stop by 362 Kitchen!
