Yeongdeungpo izakaya, half teriyaki half spicy skewers: Nani Byeolgwan

Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is an izakaya on Munnae-ro near Yeongdeungpo Station, across from Times Square. The chicken skewers (5 pieces, ₩15,000) arrived split into 3 teriyaki and 2 spicy, alongside daechang (beef intestine) skewers and Sin Ramyun risotto, and every plate was cleared. The Sin Ramyun risotto is not spicy at all and tastes deeper than Toowoomba pasta, which alone is reason to come back.

I was wandering around Sinmonsi and Times Square when a craving for skewers hit me out of nowhere!!! Searched right away, found a yakitori place in Yeongdeungpo, and went straight there.
Where is Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch and how do you get there?
Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is on the 1st floor of 183 Munnae-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, across from Times Square. From Yeongdeungpo Station, take exits 5 or 6, cross at the big intersection, and walk straight toward Shinsegae.
Then look to your left — you'll see a fire station. Turn left there and keep going straight. Don't turn into the fire station, just keep walking straight and you're there!! (Or just head for Times Square, since it's right across the street haha)
There's no parking support, so if you're driving, you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot ㅜㅜ
The place is right near the main road so it was easy to find~

Right when you walk in there are dachi (bar counter) seats. I heard this place is popular for drinking alone too, so next time I get the chance I should try that myself. Further inside there are seats for 3–4 people.
The 2nd floor also has several tables plus 2 private rooms.
Once you sit down there's a QR code on the table (it's for viewing the menu, not for ordering). After you look at the menu, just press the bell right below it to order~

The default side dish is cabbage. Our cider and Asahi draft beer came out~~~
Sin Ramyun risotto, ₩18,000: can you eat it if you hate spice?
Sinramyeon risotto, ₩18,000. I was honestly a little worried it'd be spicy. But it wasn't spicy at all — ah how do I put it — it was just delicious.
It was exactly my style so I just kept scooping it up;;; It has a deeper flavor than tteombagi (Tuscan-style cream pasta). The way to eat it: don't mix it, just scoop deep from the bottom each time. The crunchy bits were great, the soft parts were great, honestly everything about it was great!!! It's not spicy at all so even spice-shy people should try it!!!!!! Ah, this one you really have to try. Highly recommend!!!!

Chicken skewers (5 pieces), ₩15,000. There's a secret hidden in these skewers. Did you catch it~?!! It's this: 3 are teriyaki(?) and 2 are spicy(?)!!!
Hmm.. by spice-shy standards it's a bit spicy. But not spicy to the point of being inedible at all!!! Above all, unlike other izakayas, the chicken pieces were super plump. So tender, chewy, the best ㅠㅠ
Daechang skewers, 3 pieces for ₩12,000, with no heat at all
Daechang skewers (3 pieces), ₩12,000. I'm a jang-gui (grilled offal) lover so I ordered daechang skewers. I'd only ever seen daechang grilled or in a rice bowl — there's a skewer version?!!!!!!
This deserves praise!!! Skewers, of all things — and daechang skewers at that!!!! Ah, the daechang skewers aren't spicy at all. No need to worry about that~
Risotto meeting jang-gui, what a match!!! And the result was…
^…^ We finished absolutely everything. Next time I come back I'm definitely getting the risotto again!!! + other menu items too.
If you're planning to visit Nani Byeolgwan, making a reservation seems easier. You can use it at the store too, but the review-for-drink coupon can be used in advance when reserving — write a review and get a free drink!! haha

Feeling like drinking alone today, craving skewers, wanting an izakaya-style bar — just come to Nani Byeolgwan!!! I keep thinking about that risotto so I think I'll come back again soon lol
