Mac and cheese slice pizza and thin fries near Isu Station: Raymond
In short
Raymond Isu Branch is a pizza pub near Chongshin University (Isu) Station in Dongjak, Seoul, serving American-style pizza by the slice, chicken and craft beer. After work the writer and a friend shared one mac and cheese pizza slice, one BIG spicy fusilli pizza slice, half fried and half soy sauce chicken and fries, with zero cola instead of beer. The crispy dough and the thin, crunchy fries were what made Raymond Isu Branch memorable.

Why Raymond Isu Branch for dinner after work near Isu Station
After work, my friend and I headed to Isu Station for dinner! That day I wasn't in the mood for a big proper meal — I wanted to order a bit of everything, like pizza and chicken, and share casually. That's how I found Raymond Isu Branch.

They have pizza, chicken, fries, and craft beer, so it was exactly what I was looking for when hunting for a good pizza-and-beer spot near Isu after work. There's even a WORLD CHAMPION CRAFT BEER neon sign, so I was curious about the beer before we even walked in.

Of course, since we both had to work the next day, we had zero-calorie cola instead of beer... 😂

Apparently Raymond started because the owner missed the slice pizza they used to enjoy while studying in the US. Maybe that's why the place really nails the vibe of an American-style pizza pub rather than a typical pizzeria.

The inside was surprisingly spacious, more than it looked from outside. There are several tables with comfortable spacing, so it seemed like a good spot for a casual dinner for two or for a bigger group.
Ordering pizza one slice at a time at Raymond Isu Branch
At Raymond Isu Branch, you don't have to order a whole pizza — you can order it slice by slice.

If two people order a whole pizza, it's hard to also fit in chicken or sides, but ordering by the slice let us try several menu items together.
They seem quite serious about their craft beer too. There's a wide variety — lager, witbier, IPA, sour ale, porter, and more — plus a Beer Flight where you can sample 5 kinds. Looking at the menu, I could tell exactly why people come here for pizza and beer.
What we ordered that day:
- 1 mac and cheese pizza slice
- 1 BIG spicy fusilli pizza slice
- Half fried + half soy sauce chicken
- Fries
- Zero-calorie cola
How the mac and cheese and BIG spicy fusilli slices and fries tasted
Even as a single slice, the size was quite big and loaded with toppings.

The mac and cheese pizza had a generous amount of sauce and cheese, so the topping was pretty thick and rich. The dough, on the other hand, was crispy, making for a nice combo of rich topping and crispy crust.
The BIG spicy fusilli pizza was unique — whole fusilli pasta piled on top like a topping. It had a slightly spicy kick, giving it a totally different feel from the mac and cheese. Both pizzas shared the same trait: the dough wasn't fluffy or chewy, but had a strong, deep-fried-style crispiness.

There's a self-serve bar, so I drizzled hot sauce over my mac and cheese slice.
My pick of the night at Raymond Isu Branch: the thin fries 🍟
Honestly, the tastiest thing that day was the fries! I usually prefer thin fries over thick ones, and these were thin and genuinely super crispy. They also come loaded with cheese and herbs on top, plus two kinds of dipping sauce.
Chicken as well as pizza: half fried, half soy sauce

For chicken, we went half fried and half soy sauce! There are lots of chicken flavors to choose from — fried, soy sauce, seasoned (yangnyeom), cheongyang mayo, and more — so you can pick to your taste. The soy sauce chicken was evenly coated in sauce and topped with cheese and herbs, so it looked pretty hearty too.

It honestly looked like dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken).

Cutting into a piece, the meat inside was quite thick and juicy. We ate it with pickled radish (chicken-mu) and some pickled peppers along the way — the spicy-tangy peppers were a nice contrast to the richness of the chicken.
Worth it for pizza or chicken and beer near Isu Station?
Looking at the menu, this is definitely a good place to enjoy pizza and beer. You can order American-style slice pizza one piece at a time, there's a good range of sides like chicken and fries, and above all, a wide selection of craft beer! Personally, the thin, crispy fries were my top pick that day.
Compared to the pizza I usually eat, what stood out most was the crispy, hearty American-style slice pizza, starting from the dough itself. If you're looking for a spot near Isu Station to casually gather with friends after work for a slice of pizza, some chicken, and a beer, keep this place in mind next time you're searching for good pizza-and-beer or a bar near Isu or Sadang-dong :)
