A spacious ground floor all to itself, with rooms and group seating
It felt great to enjoy brunch somewhere so nice for once! The restaurant seemed to occupy almost the entire ground floor, and I was surprised by how spacious and comfortable it felt.

With its nice atmosphere and group seating, Osteria Lucia felt like a solid pick near Hakdong Station for a gathering.

There's also a room-style space like this, which looks like it would work well for a wedding invitation gathering or a parents' meeting before a wedding. The window-side tables even had curtains to block the sunlight, which was nice. The restroom was inside too, and it was clean and well maintained.

What was on the menu
The menu was mostly pasta, with mushroom risotto and hanwoo two-plus grade ragu bianco standing out as highlights. If you take part in the review event, you get a free americano or lemon sorbet. Course meals apparently take reservations in advance, and venue rental is also possible if you inquire at the restaurant.

There was also Italian mortadella and prosciutto, plus an ice cream menu you'd expect to see at a café. We came here after searching around because the thick, crispy-looking fries caught our eye — honestly it's been a while since I had french fries, so I was quietly craving them.

We decided to order gelato for dessert after finishing our meal. The americano is ₩2,000. There were a lot of wines on the drinks menu.

Burrata and thick-cut fries
The burrata came out first — the huge ball of burrata cheese was impressive, served with arugula and pesto. The arugula was fresh and fragrant, and dipping the fries in the pesto was great too~

These were thick, crispy fries that could have come straight from a family restaurant. It had been so long since I'd had these that I really wanted them! Think of it as an upscale version of french fries. (A solid pick for a side dish)

We cut open the burrata with a knife and dipped the fries into it.

Hanwoo two-plus grade ragu bianco
This is the hanwoo (Korean beef) two-plus grade ragu bianco, which I personally think of as Osteria Lucia's signature dish.

It's made with minced hanwoo and pork, and apparently grana padano cheese goes into it too. It was a pasta with a fragrant, nutty cream sauce that really stood out.

The ragu bianco used paccheri pasta.

Dessert: truffle gelato
For dessert we ordered truffle gelato. Just hearing the name makes you curious.

It was an intriguing gelato with a hint of that truffle cream pasta sauce flavor — the ice cream genuinely carried a faint truffle aroma. If you're looking for a nice-atmosphere, corkage-free restaurant in Gangnam, check out Osteria Lucia near Hakdong Station!
