Today I went hunting for a hearty meat restaurant to load up on protein after a while, and I found this one — Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang Namyang Hwaseong City Hall Main Branch.
Morakmorak's hours and parking
📍 Hours Daily 11:30–23:00 (last order 21:00) 📍 Parking Large private lot right in front of the restaurant 📍 Indoor restroom available

What I loved about this place
- A huge media art wall of ocean scenery covers one side of the interior, so it doesn't feel like just a meat restaurant — more like you're on a trip somewhere
- A large restaurant near Hwaseong City Hall with a big parking lot
- Wide table spacing inside makes it great for family meals with kids, staff dinners, year-end gatherings, or group meetups
- The table fee is totally worth it! (beef tartare and mukchapan included as standard / unlimited doenjang jjigae / unlimited ramyeon / even tacos at the self-serve bar)
Parking info

There's a big private lot, so it was really convenient, haha.
The exterior

Here's the exterior of the restaurant — so green and lush.

Water-aged, ice-temperature-ripened water deer — looks trustworthy, right?!
Media art wall seating — can you bring a baby?
The seats inside feel like this. I highly recommend this spot! It's so pretty, right? We reserved ahead and got this seat, and it was so nice. Eating meat while looking at the media art on the wall — that was pure healing.
The 8-seat table has a sofa connecting the middle, so it looked like it could fit 10 people too. Really perfect for family diners or group gatherings. The seat itself is just pretty.

There are also plenty of basic 4-seat tables. And lots of baby chairs too! They have disposable bibs, so no need to worry about spills! There were actually other guests there with babies. It's a good place to bring a baby along.
The self-serve bar and self-serve ramyeon zone
Myeongi namul (wild garlic leaves), bracken fern, green onion kimchi, napa cabbage kimchi, garlic, chili peppers, green onions, ssamjang — it's all at the self-serve bar. Amazing, right?

They even have pickled onions and more, which would be great for eating with beef too — highly recommend.

There's also a self-serve ramyeon zone. They have Jin Ramyeon in spicy and mild. You grab the broth, noodles, pot, and burner, bring them to your table, and just boil it up — so easy!
Choosing the premium marbled pork neck and fresh pork belly
Since it's a butcher restaurant, you can pick the meat by looking at it yourself.
There's a huge variety of beef too, which was great — so many different cuts.
There's pork too, like pork neck and pork belly.
For some cuts, you pick the gram amount and they slice it right there.
We were craving pork, so we picked the premium marbled pork neck and fresh pork belly.
There's an indoor restroom too, separated by gender — very convenient.
₩5,000 table fee with beef tartare, mukchapan, and doenjang jjigae
The table fee comes out to ₩5,000 per person, but they give you beef tartare and mukchapan, plus unlimited doenjang jjigae, myeongi namul, green onion kimchi, pajeori, assorted vegetables, and ramyeon — it's really not overpriced at all.

For doenjang jjigae refills, you just add broth and vegetables via the tablet — super convenient. The doenjang jjigae was really tasty too.

The beef tartare was totally fresh raw beef! So delicious.

The mukchapan felt like drinking cold naengmyeon broth. It was packed with slush ice too, which made it even tastier.

You can grab more side dishes from the self-serve bar, so it's convenient. Some places charge extra for more myeongi namul, but not here — so nice.
They even serve water hygienically like this — nice touch.

They give you sauce and vegetables to grill alongside — very nice.
The menu and drinks

If you do the review event, they give you Sanghamokjang ice cream.
You can refill the doenjang jjigae and the shredded green onions.
Rice, hot pot rice, steamed egg, and noodle dishes are extra.
There's a wide range of alcohol too, soju and beer.

They also have highballs and plenty of soft drinks. They even have Pororo drink, great for giving to kids.
They sell americano and Sanghamokjang ice cream too.
Pre-grilled pork neck and pork belly served
Wow, they serve the meat pre-grilled! They pre-grill it and slice it up nicely, so you just need to grill it a bit more — so convenient and nice.

They serve the meat pre-cut and neatly arranged like this — so nice.
Somehow it felt like a little day trip, which made me even happier.
Started grilling with meat and vegetables on top. The flame is really strong!
The meat cooked quickly.

The pajeori and myeongi namul were so tasty that I kept eating them together.
Finishing with bone-broth self-serve ramyeon
To finish, self-serve ramyeon!

Since it's made with bone broth, it was even tastier. Just add a pack of bone broth, boil it, then throw in the soup base and noodles — done!

The ramyeon was so good ••• Boiled in bone broth, it really tastes different, you know? My husband and I ate it marveling together.
🍀 Full and happy at Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang 🍀
