Naver-reservation Peking duck and Suntory draft beer in Suwon: Gang's

In short

Gang's Duck is a Chinese-style beer bar across from Nahyeoseok-geori in Injedong, Suwon, serving Peking duck and dongpo-yuk (braised pork belly). Two people ordered half a Peking duck for 39,000 won plus Suntory Premium Malt's draft beer, and reserving through Naver meant the duck arrived the moment they sat down. A repeat favorite where even the crispy duck skin and fried bone chips make perfect beer snacks.

Today I want to introduce one of my favorite spots in Injedong! I love Peking duck so much that while searching for good duck restaurants in Suwon, I found this place — and since I'm also a huge beer person, this is the perfect Injedong spot to pair with beer!! I've been back multiple times, it's a real go-to haha

Gang's Duck is an Injedong bar that wins me over from the entrance interior alone — they're known for Peking duck and dongpo-yuk (braised pork belly).

If you love Chinese food, this place will be right up your alley haha. Let's head inside.

I took some photos after coming inside Gang's Duck! The place is quite spacious, so it looked like a lot of groups and gatherings in Injedong come here. It seemed like a great spot for a company dinner in Injedong too.

We reserved through Naver Reservation before visiting, and they had already set aside a reserved table for us so we could eat right away!! Thanks to booking ahead on Naver, we got to dig into the Peking duck without any waiting.

Basic peanut snack and draft beer

As soon as we sat down, they brought out the basic snack of peanuts haha. We ordered draft beer right away — it paired so well with them.

Instructions for how to eat Peking duck

How to eat Peking duck the right way

Gang's Duck has instructions written out for how to enjoy their Peking duck properly. Spread out the pancake wrap, place the duck on top, roll it with scallion and cucumber, and dip it in the sauce.

The setup was so well done that I was glad I'd made a reservation at Gang's Duck in Injedong.

I love Peking duck a lot, and it was great being able to enjoy it so easily at this Injedong bar!! You can also watch them carve the duck right in front of you. Between the interior vibe and all the Chinese menu items I love, it's become one of my regular Chinese restaurant spots in Injedong.

This is the menu at Gang's Duck, a Chinese restaurant in Injedong. Their Peking duck comes in half or whole servings. Since we were two people, we ordered the half duck for 39,000 won! They also had Suntory Premium Malt's draft beer, so we ordered that right away! They also sell a variety of drinks including baijiu, sake, and whiskey, which are great for pairing. There's a separate Injedong lunch menu too, so it's a good spot to come at midday for dongpo-yuk rice bowl, tantanmen, fish-fragrant eggplant rice bowl, or mapo tofu rice bowl~

Half Peking duck and Suntory draft beer

When we ordered the half Peking duck through the Naver reservation, it came out almost the moment we sat down. Gang's Duck's Peking duck arrives right on schedule, and even with the half order, you get the duck skin too. Honestly I'm someone who eats Peking duck mainly for the skin — the texture is insane lol.

Gang's Duck is the kind of Injedong bar where the drinks just keep flowing — I feel like I come here often with friends who love Chinese food. It pairs so well with draft beer that it's perfect for a drink in Injedong after work. Even though we ordered just the half duck, the portion was generous and we ate until we were full. Plenty for two people to eat well~

If you love Suntory Premium Malt's draft beer, you absolutely have to try it here ㅠㅠ It was so smooth that I had three glasses with the Peking duck lol.

Gang's Duck is already so famous that it's basically the first name that comes to mind for Peking duck in Injedong, Suwon. Once you've tried it, it really stays on your mind. There's a reason it has so many regulars. You can properly enjoy Peking duck right here in Injedong :) Even people trying Peking duck for the first time say they fell for it after one bite haha.

Honestly the duck skin itself is so delicious that it's good no matter how you eat it.

Peking duck meat with skin attached

Even the meat parts of the Peking duck have skin attached, and the meat itself is soft and delicious. It was clean and light in the best way!

Peking duck meat placed on a pancake wrap

Following the instructions on how to eat it properly, we piled the duck meat on the pancake wrap and added scallion and cucumber to eat it the right way.

It tasted even better since it had been a while since I last had it!! Gang's Duck is a place where you can eat Suwon-style Peking duck at a reasonable price, and the quality is definitely solid. As for the skin... need I say more. I quietly focused on eating just the duck skin lol.

Dessert: even fried duck bones show up

They fried the bones left over from our half Peking duck and served them to us as bone chips...! The beer pairing was seriously insane ㅠㅠ It seemed to be tossed in cumin seasoning, and it was way tastier than I expected. It was great to eat as a kind of dessert after the Peking duck haha.

The size alone is impressive, right? At Gang's Duck, the Peking duck spot in Suwon, we got to properly enjoy the duck meat and had the perfect drinks to go with it!! Writing this post is making me want to eat it again, so I'll probably be back again soon~

Waiting and reservation tips

There were definitely more people around weekday commute-home time! I heard waiting is standard on Fridays and weekends, so like us, reserve through Naver Reservation and pre-order before you go~ That way you won't have to wait and can eat right away.
