Gamjatang bone hot pot with sujebi in Suwon Ingye-dong: Eolkeunhan
In short
Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is a pork bone soup and gamjatang (spicy pork bone stew) restaurant in the Drama City building in Ingye-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi. On an early weekend lunch a couple ordered the small bone hot pot (29,000 won) at regular spice level, simmering 8 small pork bones with ugeoji (dried napa cabbage leaves), bean sprouts and potato, then added sujebi (hand-torn dough flakes) at the end. Portions at Eolkeunhan are generous and the broth is clean and fiery, making it a strong hangover-cure pick in Ingye-dong.

Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk

A spicy gamjatang spot in Ingye-dong, Suwon that's perfect for curing a hangover! Let me introduce Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk 🔥

Looking for a hangover-cure meal in Ingye-dong, Suwon
Pork bone soup is one of those menus that comes to mind for curing a hangover, right? It's especially good when it's spicy... and the restaurant's name literally means 'spicy pork bone soup,' so how could we not go?!!! My husband and I dashed over for weekend lunch ✨

Right before we walked in, this line caught our eye: 'Spicy broth that clears you right up~ one sip and you'll sweat!' Hahahahaha... a perfect menu for us old-taste couples... we walked in excited!

We visited during early weekend lunch hours so there weren't many customers, but delivery orders kept coming in~

Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk menu and how to order
The menu was made up of bone stew, pork bone soup, and seonji (blood) soup, and they also sold steamed dumplings and boiled pork slices as sides! We wanted to eat (a lot?) so we ordered the small bone stew 💗🫢💗

You order through the tablet at each table! And the spice level is adjustable, so we ordered ours at regular spice ✨

Kkakdugi, house-made pickled onion and the self-serve bar
As soon as we ordered, they brought out kkakdugi and pickled onion with sauce — the kkakdugi is domestic and the pickled onion is house-made, they said! And that pickled onion was seriously delicious...!!! We refilled it twice 🥹🩵

You can freely grab extra side dishes and sauces from the self-serve bar!!!

On the left side of the table were spoons, chopsticks, and tissues, so we set the table quickly before the food came out~~

Small bone hot pot, 29,000 won: 8 pork bones and ugeoji
After a short wait, they brought out the burner along with the gamjatang pot!!!
But the portion was insane...!!! It was so much we wondered if the two of us could finish it — whether we did or not stays a secret...!!! It was packed with 8 bones, ugeoji, and bean sprouts, and the broth was cool and spicy, exactly the hangover-cure vibe haha

The owner told us we could eat it right after it boiled, and that the potatoes needed to be cooked through! The meat on the bones was genuinely substantial, and the ugeoji was packed in too, so total satisfaction... the bones weren't huge, but with about 8 small bones the portion was already massive 🫢 And this is only 29,000 won!

The meat on each bone was plump and fun to pick off, and paired with the ugeoji it was insane... the meat also came off easily with chopsticks, so it was really easy to eat 🥹

Every so often we'd grab a fully cooked, mealy potato that just melted in the mouth... they cut the potatoes small so they cooked fast and the seasoning soaked in just right — so good ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Finishing the broth with added sujebi
After neatly cleaning up all 8 bones and the ugeoji, we suddenly craved sujebi hahaha so we added some!!! I fumbled the camera and missed filming them putting it in, but they added quite a lot!

They added broth along with it, so we let it simmer and waited patiently for the sujebi to cook before slurping it all up..!!!! So chewy and delicious..💗💗

Free ice cream with every meal
If you eat in-store, they give you one free ice cream per person~ perfect for cleansing your palate after the meal haha. A hangover-cure spot in Ingye-dong! If you're looking for a great Ingye-dong restaurant or haejangguk spot, try Eolkeunhan Ppyeo Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch!! The portions are huge and the taste is great, so I highly recommend it 💖
