Why go back to Kkotdwaeji Restaurant in Indong, Gumi again?

Trying to decide where to eat meat in Indong, Gumi, and I ended up back at Kkotdwaeji again :) This isn't my first visit, or even my second — it's already my third. There are plenty of places I've been to once and liked, but not that many BBQ spots I keep coming back to like this. This time I ordered the Kkotdwaeji mixed platter and gopchang ramen (intestine ramen).

Kkotdwaeji Restaurant is the place that comes to mind whenever I want meat in Indong, Gumi. 📍 12 Indongjungang-ro 1-gil, Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk. Since I'd already been several times, this visit wasn't about checking out the menu or the vibe — I just wanted meat again :) If a place has a lot of repeat customers like me, that alone says something.

Having its own private parking lot is such a huge plus!

Since this was already my third visit, it felt less like discovering a new must-eat spot and more like going back to a familiar Indong, Gumi meat place for a meal I already knew I'd enjoy.

The Kkotdwaeji mixed platter: several cuts of pork in one order

The main dish I picked this time was the Kkotdwaeji mixed platter. Rather than ordering just one type of cut, I wanted to try a few different ones, so I went with the mixed platter. Came here for meat, might as well eat properly haha. Since you get several cuts together, it's also a solid choice if you're visiting with someone else and want a hearty spread.

Even the wait for the meat to cook on the grill is already delicious :) With the mixed platter, I wasn't just eating one cut over and over — there was fun in picking and choosing. Eating well again this time, I thought, I didn't come here three times for nothing. Finding a new BBQ place is great, but sometimes the best thing is eating comfortably somewhere you already know is good.

How is the gopchang ramen side at Kkotdwaeji Restaurant?

Meat alone felt a little lacking, so this time I also ordered gopchang ramen (intestine ramen) on the side. Gopchang ramen at a BBQ restaurant — the menu itself makes you curious haha. Being able to eat the Kkotdwaeji platter alongside a warm bowl of soup turned out to be a great combo. Taking a bite of ramen in between bites of meat, I was glad I ordered one more dish :)

Kkotdwaeji Restaurant is a popular spot for people searching for pork belly restaurants in Indong, Gumi, but I don't think you need to come just for the pork belly. You can do what we did and order the mixed platter for several cuts, and pairing it with something like gopchang ramen works well too. I was happy with this combo :) Next time I'd like to try another side dish alongside it.

Kkotdwaeji Restaurant for company dinners and groups in Indong

There are a lot of companies around Indong, so plenty of people are looking for dinner spots for company dinners or group gatherings in the evening. Since meat is the main draw, it's good for eating with a group, and it suits pairing a meal with drinks too. So it's a solid candidate to keep in mind for a Gumi company dinner, an Indong company dinner, or a Gumi group gathering spot.

Wow... that color is insane

If this were my first visit, there'd be a lot to introduce, but since it's already a repeat-of-a-repeat visit, I think what matters more this time is why I came back. I remember eating well before, so it comes to mind again, and when I eat well on the return visit too, it naturally leads to yet another visit. This time again, I ate my fill with the Kkotdwaeji platter and gopchang ramen :)

Verdict after a third visit to Kkotdwaeji Restaurant

So many new BBQ places have been opening in Gumi lately, but among them, there are certain places you end up going back to again and again. Kkotdwaeji Restaurant is one of those for me. Even on this repeat-of-a-repeat visit, I still ate well, and the combo of Kkotdwaeji mixed platter plus gopchang ramen was especially good. If you're looking for a place to eat pork belly or pork in Indong, Gumi, keep this in mind :) I'll probably be back again the next time I'm craving meat in Indong.
