I visited Pastiar, a Yeonnam-dong spot known for its pasta and lasagna.

Pastiar stood out for its cozy, European-style interior — the kind of place where you can relax and take your time over a meal.

It's a great fit for a small get-together with friends or a Hongdae/Yeonnam-dong date, if you're after pasta in a place with a good vibe.

I went looking for a good pasta restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, and ended up enjoying not just the food but the whole atmosphere. The owner was very kind too, which made it even better.

How to get to Pastiar, plus hours and parking

Pastiar sits in the Yeonnam-dong restaurant alley, about an 8-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongik Univ. Station — a lively part of town.

Walk along the Gyeongui Line Forest Park for about 5 minutes, then turn into the alley on your right.

Yeonnam-dong has a lot of winding side streets, so definitely keep your map app on.

Inside Pastiar: interior and seating

The space felt clean and fresh, like it had opened not too long ago.

The window seats are wide open and bright, so they seem to fill up first before people spread to the other tables.

The inner seating has this kind of atmosphere, and at the counter you can spot green tangerines and grapefruits — these seem to be what go into the ade drinks.

What we ordered at Pastiar

This time we ordered lasagna, shrimp toowoomba pasta, grapefruit ade, and cola.

Pastiar's layered lasagna

First up, the lasagna — a dish where rich cheese, layered pasta sheets, and ragu sauce all come together.

The savory, deep flavor of the cheese combined with the rich ragu sauce, so a single bite delivered several layers of flavor at once.

Shrimp toowoomba pasta with a mild kick

The pasta was delicious too, and the shrimp toowoomba pasta caught the eye first for its looks.

If you like a soft cream sauce but still want a bit of heat, this dish should hit the spot.

Spotting the fruit syrups under the counter, I decided to order a grapefruit ade to go with the meal.
