Yeonnam-dong group dinner with wine: Pastiar aged salmon, ragu pasta
In short
Pastiar is a pasta and Western-style restaurant on the second floor of a building in an alley off Yeontral Park in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul. On a long-overdue get-together, the writer ordered the aged salmon plate, ragu pasta, lasagna, rosé pasta and wine: the aged salmon was soft with no fishy taste, and the ragu sauce, simmered for more than 3 hours, was deep and clean. Quiet and cozy, Pastiar is an easy group dinner spot for talking for hours.

A review of Pastiar 🍝, a Yeonnam-dong pasta spot that's also perfect as a meetup place!! Since it was a long-overdue reunion, I needed somewhere cozy and quiet where we could talk for hours — and beyond the atmosphere, the food was seriously good..... this place is definitely getting a repeat visit haha. Let me introduce it ><

How to get to Pastiar in Yeonnam-dong
From Yeontral Park, pass Hollys Coffee, and before you reach Randy's Donuts, cross the street opposite the CU convenience store and go straight down the alley. Pastiar Yeonnam is on the 2nd floor of the building with Suragan on the 1st floor.

Takeout, group use, and reservations are all available, plus a waiting area and easy payment options. It works well both as a Yeonnam-dong date course and as a casual spot for a friend gathering.
Inside Pastiar: the mood and the window seats
The interior has that signature Yeonnam-dong sensibility with a cozy layout. True to its billing as a space for dates, friend hangouts, and family dinners alike, it felt comfortable while still carrying a European mood!

I didn't get a proper shot of our window seat haha, but as you can see, the vibe was on point.
What we ordered at Pastiar that night

✔️ Check the photo above for the menu
That day we went all out with a salmon plate, ragu pasta, lasagna, rosé pasta, and wine!!! Since I'm a total lightweight, I started with a zero-sugar cola lol (they also have a good variety of highballs and wine).

Salmon plate: aged salmon with no fishy taste
The most memorable dish was the salmon plate (the visuals were insane).

Apparently the salmon goes through a special aging process, and true to that, it's clearly a different level of softness from regular raw salmon lol.

The salmon here is genuinely clean without any of that typical fishy taste, so I think even people who usually can't handle salmon could enjoy it comfortably!!!

As you can see — white kimchi, pickled onions, pickled ginger, sushi, and more.

It came with such a variety of sides that I was touched by the thoughtfulness haha.
Ragu pasta: a sauce simmered for over 3 hours
The ragu pasta apparently uses a sauce carefully simmered for over 3 hours every day, and sure enough, the flavor hit right from the first bite.

There was no gamey meat taste at all, just deep, rich flavor, with a subtle herb aroma and the freshness of tomato layered on top — genuinely.....!!! This is another must-order menu item.

Rosé pasta and lasagna at Pastiar
The rosé pasta nailed it with plump shrimp, rich tomato, and smooth cream. The shrimp were so plump and the cream was so smooth haha (perfect pairing with wine).

The lasagna is a dish where generous cheese, layered pasta sheets, and ragu sauce come together beautifully — biting into the stacked layers of noodle, sauce, and cheese all at once gave it a rich, heavy flavor.

Pair it with a good glass of wine and every dish gets... an extra burst of flavor! Haha. Being able to enjoy so many different dishes at once made it really great for a group to share at a gathering.

The night sky was so pretty too ~~~~ hahaha.

The owner was super kind too, and it turned into such a happy evening with delicious food.
