Cheonan seafood restaurant with generous banchan: Donghae Bada Hoetjip

I recently went to Cheonan again for a performance~!! 🤭💕 After finishing my performance at Cheonan Arts Center, I went out for delicious sashimi with my boyfriend~!! Dinner after a performance already tastes extra amazing, but I was even happier because there was such a good seafood restaurant around Dujeong-dong in Cheonan💕 Donghae Bada Hoetjip, where the course comes with both assorted sashimi and seafood stew, was incredible!!🌸

Donghae Bada Hoetjip is located around Dujeong-dong in Cheonan~!!☺️ I also loved that the parking area was so spacious, so there was absolutely no need to worry about parking ><

Donghae Bada Hoetjip is perfect for group get-togethers, such as work dinners or family gatherings, and since it is already popular, it was absolutely packed with customers at dinner time~!!😆🌸 The owner was kind too ><

There was a sea urchin? A sea squirt? near the entrance (I am not a seafood expert..😂), which I found fascinating. My boyfriend saw it and was amazed at how huge it was! Ah!! It was a sea squirt, a sea squirt hahaha!! Everyone, it is a sea squirt🤭

Assorted sashimi and seafood stew course for two

This is the seafood menu~!!🌸 We ordered the assorted sashimi + seafood stew course for two (₩110,000)~! It felt like we could eat all the seafood we wanted! Anyone who loves seafood as much as my boyfriend does will like it even more~!!☺️🩷

The restaurant was spacious, and all the tables were generously sized, which definitely made it great for work dinners or group gatherings!!🌸

There was soy sauce, cho-gochujang (sweet-and-tangy chili sauce), small plates, and so on at the table~!!❣️ First, the side dishes came out~!!🌸 Even the basic dishes were so generous, including grilled fish (herring), jeon (savory Korean pancake), beondegi (silkworm pupae), and suyuk (boiled pork)😆 I am the kind of person who likes the banchan (side dishes) even more when I go to a seafood restaurant... hahaha

The complimentary miyeokguk (seaweed soup) was full of ocean flavor~!!☺️🌸 It had loads of seaweed in it too💕 My boyfriend enjoyed it! The grilled fish was plump and delicious; at first I thought it was saury?! But when I asked a staff member, they said it was herring🙊 I had no idea herring could be this tasty...💕

The jeon was exactly to my taste💕💕 I have the palate of a little kid, so since jeon was my favorite, my boyfriend gave me lots of it hahaha🤭💖🫶

The protein-packed beondegi went in front of my boyfriend..😂💕💕 He said the beondegi was tasty!

Tender suyuk meat and mumallaengi (dried shredded radish)💕 I liked this too, so my boyfriend had just one piece and gave me all the rest🤭💖

I liked Donghae Bada Hoetjip because the side dishes and service dishes were generous overall ><💕

Chewy assorted sashimi and spicy seafood stew

After we had been diligently working through the side dishes, the assorted sashimi came out~!!🩷 The assorted sashimi looked amazing, right!!🙈 The presentation was pretty, and every piece was fresh and delicious too💖

This is minari (water parsley) that they add later when they make the seafood stew~!!💕💕

There were heaps of delicious sashimi, including sea bream, flounder, tuna belly, and rockfish! The sashimi was so wonderfully chewy💕💕 Just as we were finishing it, the seafood stew arrived, and oh my goodness...💖💖 It had every kind of seafood in it, including abalone, sea snail, blue crab, and squid!!😍

A staff member cut up the larger seafood pieces directly with scissors!!💕 They added minari too, and it was genuinely spicy and the broth was sooo delicious!!

And it even had a generous amount of roe in it!!! That day was my first time trying roe, and it was nutty and delicious💖🩷

If you do the Naver receipt review event, they also give you fried king crab like this!!🌸 The fried king crab was absolutely delicious, with plump king crab meat inside💕💕

At the end, you can even have coffee for dessert🩷 My boyfriend and I ate until we were completely stuffed with the assorted sashimi + seafood stew course💕💕 If we had not driven, it was the kind of flavor that would immediately make you think of drinks😍💖
