BBQ restaurant with parking near Woljeongri Beach: Woljeongri Galbibap

Today I want to introduce Woljeongri Galbibap, an eastern Jeju restaurant I visited during a trip around eastern Jeju. They offer a free kids' meal up to 2nd grade, so it's great to visit with kids too.

Where is Woljeongri Galbibap, and what's on the menu?

Woljeongri Galbibap is at 46 Woljeong 7-gil, Gujwa-eup, Jeju City, Jeju-do, South Korea. Hours are 11:00–20:00, with break time 15:00–17:00, and last order is 14:30 and 19:30.

Parking and the dining room at Woljeongri Galbibap

There's a parking lot right in front of Woljeongri Galbibap, which was really convenient. Looked like it could fit about 4–5 cars.

The exterior had a real house vibe! It felt like an actual home that had been converted into a restaurant.

Going inside, there were window seats with big windows too. Looked perfect for eating solo or as a pair while looking out at the scenery.

There was also a spacious table for six. We settled into a 4-person table and ordered Set B, which comes with the marinated crab. For the grilled marinated pork, you can choose soy sauce flavor, spicy, or half-and-half — we went with half-and-half.

Any extra side dishes or utensils you need are self-serve, and you can help yourself freely.

If you leave a Naver receipt review you can get a juice, and apparently they also donate lunch boxes to children at risk of food insecurity.

While waiting for our order, I saw a note that the owner has donated over ₩100 million to children at risk of food insecurity since 2020. That's not something just anyone can do — reading it, I thought it was really admirable!

Set B, 22,000 won, delivered by a serving robot

After a bit, a robot came to serve our food. My son, and kids in general, absolutely love serving robots!

It was really generous! I was so thankful they prepared the kid's meal for free too.

Seeing the grilled marinated pork reminded me of yeontan bulgogi (charcoal-grilled bulgogi) I used to eat in Daegu!

The seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) was pan-fried into a really pretty round shape. There were 8 side dishes too, and every single one was delicious.

The marinated crab was big and really packed with meat!

The rice was served nicely plated too.

How did the flame-grilled marinated pork taste?

I started with the spicy grilled marinated pork. I can pretty much tell just from the taste of the meat now — this was Jeju pork! Jeju pork has a slightly bouncier, chewier texture compared to mainland pork. That texture felt a bit unfamiliar at first, but you get used to it quickly!

The seafood pancake was moist and crispy too~

The abalone topped with garlic was delicious as well.

But honestly, the marinated crab was the real MVP. Is there any way to just order more marinated crab on its own..!

It was so packed with meat, truly a special treat! The marinated crab was so, so good that if you go here, I want to tell you to definitely order Set B and try the marinated crab.

Why Woljeongri Galbibap works for lunch with kids

Woljeongri Galbibap, a great eastern Jeju restaurant for lunch with kids, had baby chairs and kids' dishware well prepared, so my child was able to eat happily too. Starting our eastern Jeju trip after a solid meal felt great~! If it fits your route on an eastern Jeju trip, I'd recommend eating here before heading out~
