What kind of lash studio is Onyu Lash?

Onyu Lash is a lash lift studio in Bansong-dong, Dongtan, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, open Mon-Sat 9:00-16:00 with Naver Reservation available. I visited in mid-September — as a lash-lift nomad who's had plenty of tricky lash experiences, I'd seen a lot of good reviews for Onyu Lash, so I went to check it out.

How to get to Onyu Lash in Dongtan, and where to park

I went by public transit and on foot — took the bus, got off at the Central Park (37703) stop, and walked about 5 minutes to get there.

If you're driving, you can use the parking lot behind the building or the Bansong-dong public street parking in front of the shop! The public parking is free for the first 1.5 hours (₩400 per additional 10 minutes).

Once you spot the mint-colored Green Nail sign, you've arrived! Onyu Lash is located inside Dongtan Green Nail. You can also check it against the outdoor banner!

Consultation and the keratin lash perm, step by step

The inside of Onyu Lash was bright and cozy, and after the consultation I ended up asking for a keratin lash perm. After confirming my reservation, they stored my bag, sat me on the bed you see in the photo, checked my condition and the direction we'd go before the treatment, and took photos of my eyes before the perm. They made sure to show me the before-and-after shots together afterward too!

They asked whether I'd had a lash lift before, what direction I wanted from the perm, and what kind of final result I was hoping for, guiding me through it all in the consultation.

Hooded eyelids and short lashes: what did the lash lift look like?

Light lash density, hooded eyelids, short lashes. My eyes basically check every box that makes it hard to feel rewarded by the final result... Lashes barely visible above the eye, and when curled tight, they touch the eyelid. And yet — can you see this change?! For me, it's a genuinely meaningful difference..!

Usually the right eye is the one where it's harder to feel the before-and-after difference, but she tried on several different rods multiple times to get the best curl, and after the treatment, with my eyes open, she checked the condition again and added a bit more curl to touch it up. In the end, my right lashes ended up with much more presence!!

The left eye, which turned out relatively more rewarding. Lifted as much as possible without touching the eyelid!

Why curling lashes too tightly is a bad idea

I figured the only issue with curling lashes too tight was the discomfort of them touching your eye — but when I asked, I learned that constant contact with the eyelid isn't just uncomfortable, it can also affect the lashes frizzling and losing their curl over time!

There was a visible change, but my quality of life actually went up a lot too... No more eyelash curler means avoiding that regular strain, less prep time, and no more poking my eye — all the practical upsides of a lash lift! Even opening my eyes somehow feels easier now.

She told me the side profile is actually better for checking the before-and-after of a lash lift, so I got a side shot. With the curl, my lashes even look a bit longer — pure magic✨

On a first visit, Onyu Lash lets you choose between a discount or a free serum. After the treatment, they gave me a coupon with aftercare instructions written on it, plus a lash brush!
