Dongtan lash salon with a no-glue lift for droopy lashes: Onyu Lash

It had been a while since my last lash lift, so I made my way to Onyu Lash, a go-to spot for lash lifts in Dongtan!!!! The director turned out to have a pretty long career in beauty. Since I wanted a natural lash lift, I figured I should trust my lashes to someone with plenty of experience. Off I went to experience the skills of someone who's spent years making people beautiful~~~

Where is Onyu Lash, and what are its hours and parking?

Onyu Lash, the Dongtan lash lift spot, is at 12 Dongtanbansong-gil, 1st floor Unit 103 — just walk into Green Nail. Hours are Mon–Fri 09:00–18:00, Sat 09:00–16:00, closed Sundays.

For parking at Onyu Lash, you can use the Bansong-dong street public parking lot in front of the shop, or the lot behind the building. When I visited there weren't any spots left behind the building, but there were a few open in the street lot!!!

Walk straight through past Green Nail and you'll reach the space where Onyu Lash does lash lifts and extensions.

Inside Onyu Lash: the shop and the bed with a leg pillow

The moment I stepped into Onyu Lash, the director's career info was the first thing that caught my eye. It really gave me confidence right from the start, knowing I was in the hands of someone skilled. There were also little snacks set aside in one corner for a sugar boost — such a thoughtful touch!! Perfect to nibble on while waiting.

One of the things that impressed me most at Onyu Lash was the bed! Lying down for a long time during a lash lift can leave your back or legs aching, right? Here they thoughtfully added something like a leg pillow, or knee pillow, to rest your feet on, and lying there with my legs propped up felt so, so comfortable. I may or may not have dozed off partway through the treatment... not telling haha. Of all the lash studios I've been to, this was the first with a leg pillow like this, and I was seriously moved.

You just hang your coat and bag on the rack and lie back comfortably. With winter getting colder, having a rack to hang a thick coat on is another nice touch at Onyu Lash, the go-to lash lift spot in Dongtan — not just great at lashes, but great at thoughtfulness too..

Consultation and the no-glue lash perm at Onyu Lash

Before the treatment, the Onyu Lash director assessed my eye shape and asked about the style I wanted and my usual makeup style! The moment she saw my eyes, she immediately knew I wanted a natural curl rather than a sharply lifted one~ Experience really does make a difference!!! After a thorough consultation to nail down exactly what I wanted, the treatment began. She explained that they never use glue to secure the rod to the skin or to secure the lashes to the rod — it's all done with the no-glue method.

Droopy lashes before and after: how did the curl turn out?

Now for the most important part — the before and after! My lashes were originally the classic droopy type, falling weakly downward with no life to them. My makeup skills aren't great either, so even with an eyelash curler they never lifted up properly... T.T But the moment the treatment was done and I looked in the mirror, I screamed inside!!! Seen from the side, there was no over-kinked look at all — the curl lifted up softly and naturally, and it was seriously insane. That elegant curve — is this real life..

You know that clean, non-kinked curve you can never get with an eyelash curler? My eyes look so much more open and defined now, I'm obsessed. I don't usually wear heavy makeup, but this one lash lift alone made it look like I'd done a full face of makeup :) Now I have one more reason not to bother with makeup lol haha. Apparently the Onyu Lash lift is designed to fade out nicely without kinking or frizzing as it loosens over time. Looking forward to that lasting power~

The lash brush and return-visit discount card from Onyu Lash

On my way out after everything was done, the director handed me a lash brush and even a thank-you card with a discount for my next visit!

The lash brush was this super cute Kitty design.. I wanted to take them all, but I grabbed the cutest one I could find! I'll brush and take care of my lashes, and once they start loosening up again soon, I'll head back to put that discount card to good use!!
