Now that it's fall, I've suddenly been wanting to dress things up — buy new clothes, change my hair, all these grooming urges piling up — so I went ahead and booked the lash lift I'd been putting off for a while and headed over 💨💨

📌The location is right in front of the jewelry street by Beomil Station, so it was super easy to get to straight off the subway!!

What the inside of the Busanjin lash salon is like

The inside of Almond Eyelashes was bigger and more pleasant than I expected, so it won me over right away 🥺 With treatment shops like this, clutter or chaos can really hurt my trust in the place, but here there was no mess of tools lying around — it was so clean

And since it's spacious rather than cramped, there's no stuffy feeling at all!! Personally I love a salon this roomy — the waiting area was comfortable too

The consultation: why the U-curl was recommended

And then the most important part — the lash consultation! I sipped a glass of water while telling them the style I wanted

I tend to prefer a curl that rises naturally and rounds along the shape of the eye, rather than lashes that shoot up stiff and straight from the root, so that's the first thing I mentioned — and they nailed it, recommending the U-curl

There are two beds inside the treatment room, so simultaneous treatments are possible, they told me. Seems like a good spot to come with a friend, both get a lift, and head to Seomyeon together afterward haha

How the 40-minute keratin U-curl lift works

I mentioned my usual curl shape, and they recommended their newly launched U-curl instead, so I went with the keratin U-curl

While lying down getting treated, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, so I closed my eyes and ended up dozing off completely lol. It felt like barely any time had passed, but when I opened my eyes it was almost done — the time went by faster than I expected!!

The treatment took about 40 minutes, and I just lay there comfortably, dozed off quietly, and woke up to find it done haha. And the result? Completely satisfied 🤍

Personally, when lashes curl up too sharply they end up feeling disconnected from the eye shape, which I don't love — but this time they came out exactly how I wanted, curving naturally and roundly from the root

My lashes used to be a little wavy with the direction going every which way, but after the lift, even the direction got neatly aligned in one way, so my whole eye area looked way more defined and put-together...!!! I love it so much ‼️

Who the U-curl lift at Almond Eyelashes suits

If you prefer a natural, rounded curl over an overly dramatic upward lash lift, I'd recommend the U-curl!! The cute little lash brush they gave me at the end was a nice bonus 💗
