Siheung pork galbi restaurant with shine muscat smoothie: Gyesu Garden
In short
Gyesu Garden is a charcoal-grilled marinated pork galbi restaurant in the Eungye district of Siheung, Gyeonggi. The writer took her boyfriend's parents there for the signature set (pork galbi for 2 plus LA galbi for 1), added another serving of pork galbi, yukhoe (raw beef tartare) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles), then finished with a free café drink at the table. Gyesu Garden, a go-to restaurant in Siheung's Eungye district
This time I went to eat with my boyfriend's parents! When you're eating with parents, you tend to be a bit more careful about choosing the menu. Rather than something too intense or polarizing, you look for a barbecue restaurant that's comfortable for everyone and still feels like a proper meal. So this time I went to Gyesu Garden, a go-to spot in Siheung's Eungye district!

You can eat pork galbi as the main dish, then finish with naengmyeon (cold noodles) and even a café drink for dessert, all in one place — great for a family outing. Since I actually went with my boyfriend's parents this time, this should also be useful for anyone looking for a restaurant to bring their own parents to!
Where is Gyesu Garden, and how are parking and reservations?
Gyesu Garden is located at 11 Beoman-ro266beon-gil, Siheung, Gyeonggi, close to both Starfield Bucheon and Siheung's Eungye district. It's a good option if you're at Starfield Bucheon looking for somewhere to eat, or if you're in Eungye district looking for a pork galbi restaurant to bring your parents to. There's also plenty of parking further inside beyond the spot I photographed, so parking is easy!
When I actually visited, I had made a reservation, and even though I came at an in-between hour, more than half the seats were already filled, and customers kept coming in while we were eating! I understood exactly why there's a waiting machine at the entrance — it's clearly a popular spot!
Inside Gyesu Garden
Here's what the interior looks like, and the restroom is also inside the restaurant!
Gyesu Garden's menu and what we ordered
If you're curious about the menu, I'd recommend checking out the video. What we ordered as our base this time was the signature set. The signature set comes with pork galbi for two and LA galbi for one, and since it wasn't quite enough, we added one more pork galbi, one yukhoe, and one bibim naengmyeon!
If you order meat, you get a free café drink — this is seriously amazing! I'll write more about the drink we got for dessert below!
Side dishes and the self-serve vegetable bar

This is how the basic side dishes at Gyesu Garden, a Siheung Eungye-district favorite, are set up — but that's not all!

There's a vegetable self-bar. You just scoop out as much as you want to eat, and the vegetables are really fresh!
And the seasoned crab (yangnyeom gejang)! It seems like the first portion is included, but after that you need to order more!

The tomato salad — this is genuinely delicious!

While we were eating the tomato salad, our signature set arrived. It came with mushrooms and kkwarigochu (shishito-style peppers) too. Grilled kkwarigochu is so good, you all know that, right!?

Hahaha the tomatoes are seriously so good, I'm not okay. Eating the good stuff first while getting ready for the meat!

They bring out the charcoal grill, and you know what that means — if it's not delicious over charcoal, that's basically a crime, right...? But grilling pork galbi over charcoal at a pork galbi specialist? Of course it's amazing!
How does the pork galbi at Gyesu Garden taste?

The pork galbi at Gyesu Garden, a Siheung Eungye-district favorite, has an overall sweet seasoning flavor! Even among seasoned galbi restaurants, the sauce style varies quite a lot from place to place, but Gyesu Garden leans more toward sweetness rather than a strong salty punch!

Grilled over charcoal, the sweetness of the seasoned meat combines with the smoky char flavor, so it's delicious even eaten on its own! This kind of seasoned pork galbi also goes really well with rice, and works with naengmyeon too, which makes it a great dish for eating as a family.
In the end we didn't stop at just the first round of meat — we added one more portion of pork galbi! Eating something this good naturally leads to ordering more, haha. Personally, I'd say it's less of an intense or unusual sauce flavor and more of a familiar, sweet seasoned pork galbi that's easy to eat. That's exactly why it worked for everyone from kids to parents!
The LA galbi included in the signature set

The signature set isn't just pork galbi — it comes with LA galbi for one too, so you get to try two kinds of meat! Instead of eating just one type the whole time, mixing in a different meat halfway through definitely kept things from getting repetitive. When you visit as a family, people often have slightly different meat preferences, so being able to try multiple kinds at once was a nice touch!
Adding yukhoe (raw beef tartare)
It felt like just meat wasn't quite enough, so we added a yukhoe (raw beef tartare) too! Eating yukhoe in between grilling pork galbi gave a completely different feel. If you're visiting with a group, I'd recommend ordering a dish like yukhoe too and sharing it!
Bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles)

You can't skip naengmyeon at a pork galbi restaurant. We added a bibim naengmyeon!

I prefer eating naengmyeon together with the pork galbi rather than just the meat alone, so I enjoyed the combination of cool noodles and warm pork!
The shine muscat smoothie for dessert — the real surprise
And there was something that surprised me more than I expected! It was the shine muscat smoothie. After eating meat, they bring you a checklist to mark which drink you'd like for dessert. There's americano and café latte too, but since I can drink those anytime, I saw shine muscat smoothie on the list and ordered that instead — and it was genuinely so much better than I expected! It's simply the shine muscat grapes blended into a smoothie, and it's honestly one of the best smoothies I've ever had. Better than a café, haha. If you visit Gyesu Garden in Siheung's Eungye district, I definitely recommend having the dessert drink before you leave!
Final verdict: why Gyesu Garden works for a meal with parents
This time it wasn't a date or a meal with friends — I actually went with my boyfriend's parents, so I think I ended up looking at it more from a family-outing perspective. Since the main dish is pork galbi, it's easy to eat regardless of whether you're a kid or a parent, and with side dishes like LA galbi, yukhoe, and naengmyeon, it didn't feel like you were eating just one thing the whole time.
Above all, being able to finish off the meal with a café drink in the same place was incredibly convenient! If you're in Siheung or visiting Starfield Bucheon and looking for somewhere to bring your parents, or a comfortable place for the whole family to eat meat together, I'd recommend giving Gyesu Garden a try! And don't miss the shine muscat smoothie, haha.
