Yangyang lunch specials after the grill menu closed: Yeoyejeong
In short
Yeoyejeong is a meat restaurant on Ssangsolbaegi-gil in Seo-myeon, Yangyang, Gangwon, serving salt-aged beef and pork, marinated galbi and a lunch special menu. Arriving too late to order grilled meat, we tried three lunch specials at Yeoyejeong: meat pot rice 13,000 won, galbitang (beef short rib soup) 15,000 won and meat naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) 13,000 won. With a wide parking lot, a private room for up to 24 people and baby chairs, Yeoyejeong worked well as a family or group lunch stop on a Yangyang trip.

Today I'm introducing Yeoyejeong, a Yangyang restaurant that's great for a hearty lunch during a Yangyang trip. From meat pot rice to meat naengmyeon to galbitang pot rice, every dish was filling and delicious, so it was a satisfying find for lunch in Yangyang~ Here's my honest review of the three lunch specials I tried at Yeoyejeong!
Is parking easy at Yeoyejeong?
Yeoyejeong has a large parking lot right in front of the restaurant. When you're traveling, you often move around by car, so it was convenient to have plenty of parking space ready. They also run a pickup service to make visiting even more comfortable.
What Yeoyejeong looks like inside and out

The exterior of Yeoyejeong felt less like a typical BBQ place and more like arriving at a large pension.
Going inside, the interior was also very spacious. It was kept clean throughout, and with so many tables, it looked great for a family visit or a group meal.

There's a private room that seats up to 24 people, and baby chairs are also on hand, so it looked comfortable to visit with kids too.

After writing a review, you can take home a prize through a draw, and there were all kinds of prizes ready, from toys to various little items.

Floss and candy were also available for after the meal, and the restrooms were separated by gender and kept clean and tidy.
Yeoyejeong menu and prices

The signature menu features salt-aged beef and pork along with marinated galbi, and there's also a variety of lunch specials and side dishes.
Which lunch specials we ordered after the grill menu closed

Traffic was heavy so we arrived later than expected, and by then the meat orders were already closed — but they still let us order from the lunch special menu, which I was really grateful for!
Being able to try a variety of meat-based meal dishes actually made for a simple yet hearty lunch.
Meat pot rice, 13,000 won

The meat pot rice (₩13,000) comes with pot rice, meat, and dried radish green soup — a clean, satisfying meal on its own. The pot rice itself was cooked wonderfully chewy and sticky, so it was tasty even on its own. The meat comes already cooked to perfection, so there was no need to grill it yourself, which was convenient.

Tasting the meat, you get a sweet soy-sauce-based flavor along with deep savoriness. At first it tastes like a familiar sweet marinade, but the more you chew, the more the meat and the sauce blend naturally, and I just kept reaching for more.

Adding the pickled chives that came alongside made the flavor balance so much better~ compared to eating just the meat and rice, the chives' aroma and clean taste kept things from getting monotonous all the way to the end.
Galbitang (beef short rib soup), 15,000 won

With the galbitang (₩15,000), you could taste the deep flavor of the meat from the broth alone, so my stomach felt satisfied from the very first spoonful. Drinking the rich rib broth felt like a proper restorative meal. There was also plenty of meat in the galbitang.

The meat was quite thick and large, yet it wasn't tough or dry — it had a soft, tender texture that fell apart easily, making it easy to eat without any burden.

At the end, I even tried the sungnyung (scorched rice water)~ finishing with warm sungnyung left my stomach feeling comfortable and full. If you like Korean food with a good broth, I'd recommend the galbitang pot rice as a lunch menu for a Yangyang restaurant too!
Meat naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), 13,000 won

Meat naengmyeon (₩13,000) — meat and naengmyeon (cold noodles) together is a combination that never fails, right?! I tried the noodles first, and the chewy texture stood out. The bite held up really well, and as I chewed, a subtle sweetness came through too, so I kept eating.

The broth wasn't overly spicy or sharp — just a slight kick of heat, which made it clean and easy to eat. Piling the meat onto the chewy noodles brought the cool broth and the meat's savoriness together, giving a different flavor than eating each one separately.
Is Yeoyejeong worth a lunch stop in Yangyang?
From the meat pot rice with its chewy pot rice and meat, to the hearty galbitang pot rice with its rich broth, to the cool, chewy meat naengmyeon, all three lunch specials at Yeoyejeong — a Yangyang restaurant serving meat — were satisfying. With a spacious, clean dining hall and parking lot, plus a separate room for group use, it's also a great fit for family meals or gatherings. If you're looking for a Yangyang restaurant for a hearty lunch during your trip, like we were, or a Yangyang restaurant serving a variety of meat dishes, I'd recommend Yeoyejeong!
