An all-you-can-eat spot, yet the salmon quality was really excellent. Getting to eat a thick, generous bite of properly marbled salmon like that...

On top of that, there's smoked duck, lamb chops, and more, making this place more substantial than most Gold branches.

Sushi quality: flounder, salmon and botan shrimp sushi

There's a wide variety of sushi to pick from.

The flounder sushi and salmon sushi both had really substantial-sized fish. The sashimi was big and the rice was minimal, which I loved.

On top of that, the shrimp sushi uses botan shrimp, giving it great flavor. I didn't expect much, but I was surprised how sweet and delicious it was.

The side dishes and pickled vegetables were also surprisingly varied. Beyond the basics like rakkyo and pickled ginger, there were so many different options.

Marble ice cream, out even at lunch

On top of that, Kuu Kuu's signature dessert, marble ice cream, is available even at lunch!!! I know some people go to Kuu Kuu just for this, and it's here even for weekday lunch;; Not just kids, adults get emotional too.

I brought back a well-rounded plate of land, sea, and sky.

Even the basic sushi had such big, thick slices of sashimi that it felt like being at a dedicated sushi restaurant.

The ingredients were all fresh and well cooked, so the overall quality was genuinely good. I'd read a lot of reviews saying the Nowon branch has great quality, and after trying it myself, I completely agreed.

The dessert menu was also solid. The fruit quality really surprised me.

The waffles are the old-school apple fresh cream style, so they don't get boring and just keep going down.

I scooped up marble ice cream four times. At Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, I got to feel like a little bourgeois for a moment.
