My old glasses weren't particularly uncomfortable, but I wanted to change up my vibe with a new pair, so I finally visited a nearby optician after a long while. First, let me tell you the easy way to find Second Face Sinsigaji Branch. Look for the Haeundae Office of Education and Sangdang Middle School. Go into the alley between the school wall and the building, and you'll find street public parking running along the wall — park there. If it's full, you can park at the Haeundae Office of Education parking lot, which offers support too.

Facing the Second Face storefront, there's a Twosome Place café on the right, which makes it even easier to spot.

What's the brand lineup like inside the store?

I found Second Face Sinsigaji Branch without trouble, so let's step inside. It's a decently sized store, and it's packed with a wide variety of glasses and lenses. Lindberg and Oakley are the first things you see. ><

Just seeing these popular brand items on display makes you think how pretty the frames are and makes you want to own them. Lindberg pieces are genuinely, genuinely light. And yet, because they're made of titanium, they're incredibly, incredibly sturdy! Once you try a pair on, you'll fall completely for the appeal. Frame prices and the pair I chose

Since I came that day to get new frames along with new lenses, I browsed extensively. There were desk-use glasses, and there were also photochromic lenses, which combine sun protection with the function of sunglasses. Frames were on display across price ranges — ₩10,000, ₩30,000, ₩50,000, all the way up to ₩69,000. I usually agonize a lot over choosing frames — to the point I'd call myself indecisive — and it takes me forever, but that day I fell for a ₩69,000 frame right away and chose it easily.

The eye exam and how long it took

After that, I had my eyesight measured and tested in the exam room, then the glasses went into production. It didn't take long at all before my new glasses were ready. Curious how they turned out?
