A quiet Western-style restaurant found on Dalmaji-gil
I visited Bueokgan Haeundae Branch while looking for a nice Western-style restaurant in Haeundae! It is over by Dalmaji-gil, so I was happy with the location—it is great for looking around the area after your meal, too.

The exterior is pretty eye-catching from the start. The building itself is large and has a lovely atmosphere, so it catches your eye even as you pass by. It is not in a super-busy area, so it feels peaceful and quiet—just right for a date or a meal with a friend! I think it would be great for dining out, too, haha. Bueokgan Bakery and Chinese are on the first floor, while Bueokgan—the restaurant I visited—is on the second floor.

A spacious interior with a warm feel
Once inside, the restaurant was more spacious than I expected! The tables were not crammed together, so it was nice to eat at a relaxed pace, and everything felt clean and neatly arranged. The wood-toned furniture and warm lighting came together to create such a comfortable atmosphere. It did not feel overly formal, but it was not simply casual either—completely my kind of place!

Ordering jambon pizza and grilled mushroom salad
I did not want anything too heavy that day, so I ordered the jambon pizza and grilled mushroom salad!

Whoa, the presentation was insane. I already tend to love pizza topped with jambon (French cured ham), so I ordered this jambon pizza with high expectations!! The jambon was piled on so appetizingly that it had me salivating from the look alone.

Can you see that cheese pull? It was nutty and pleasantly salty, and apparently it paired sooo well with beer.

When I picked up a slice and tried it, the jambon's signature salty flavor came through first, followed by the richness of the cheese! There were pistachios on top, too, and every now and then one would crunch through, bringing out its distinct nuttiness and making it even tastier. It was not aggressively salty, and the pizza-and-jambon combination worked better than I expected.

Good food deserves a closer look. There was plenty of jambon on it, so I think anyone who likes jambon will love this pizza.

There is Tabasco sauce, too, so if you like it, drizzle on as much as you want! I prefer the pizza's original flavor, so I passed~

This is about how big one slice is. Just the right size to eat. The crust was baked nicely, so even the bread part was delicious on its own.

A mushroom salad that paired beautifully with the pizza
And the grilled mushroom salad we ordered alongside it! It had a good variety of vegetables, making it great with the pizza. The seasoning on the mushrooms was especially spot-on 🤤 Since the pizza has both cheese and jambon, it can start to feel a little rich if you keep eating it, but one bite of salad freshens up your palate and has you reaching for the pizza again—such a combination lol. If two people are visiting, I think ordering one pizza with a salad would be a good choice. The portion was just right for two to share as a side, too.
The exterior felt tidy, and the interior was warm and comfortable as well, so I would recommend it when you are looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere in Haeundae! The salty jambon and cheese went wonderfully together on the pizza, and having the salad alongside it kept the meal delicious right to the end. If you are craving pizza or Western food near Haeundae's Dalmaji-gil, or looking for somewhere atmospheric for a date, stop by Bueokgan. Next time, I want to try some of the other dishes, too!!
