Suwon café for peach fruit sando and roomy study seats: Jo Hui-tak Coffee
In short
Jo Hui-tak Coffee is a spacious dessert café near Ajou University in Suwon, Gyeonggi. I had peach fruit sando and an iced Americano, then got some things done alone at the shared table. Verdict: the fruit and rich milk cream are a combination I keep thinking about.

I visited Jo Hui-tak Coffee (조희탁커피), tucked into an alley near Ajou University’s main gate. It’s personally one of my favorite cafés: there’s plenty of room and the desserts are delicious, so it’s great both for studying alone with a coffee and for chatting over one.
Jo Hui-tak Coffee exterior and location

It looks like a small café from outside, but the interior is seriously spacious haha.

A spacious interior for studying and chatting

I visited on the weekend, and it was really busy! In the middle of the café was this big shared table,

Further inside, there were lots of two- and four-person tables. The orange chairs are so cute haha. There’s also comfy sofa seating, making it the perfect space to settle in for some café studying or just chat away.

And there are seats hidden away in that inner space, too! There are so many cute little corners,,, Doesn’t the overall interior feel exactly like one of those trendy cafés in front of a university?!

Since Jo Hui-tak Coffee is in Suwon, it also seems to sell cute merchandise related to Suwon’s mascot, Suwon-i, haha. It’s a café full of Suwon love.

It seems they use Jeong Ji-young Coffee beans, and they were selling the beans separately here, too.
Fruit sando and bakery selections
Jo Hui-tak Coffee, a popular spot in Suwon’s Uman-dong, is known for its wide variety of cakes and fruit sando (fruit-and-cream sandwiches).

When I visited, there was Basque cheesecake, chocolate cake, and fruit cake,

and the display case was filled with all kinds of fruit sando, too haha. Just looking at it made my heart feel full,,, You really have to get something with cream here. They use only dairy whipped cream!
The fruit sando varieties that are popular these days are as follows.
- Chocolate banana sando ₩7,500
- Tangerine sando ₩7,800
- Musk melon sando ₩7,800
- Peach sando ₩8,200
- Fruit sando, fig sando ₩8,500
- Apple mango sando ₩8,500
- Yangjiganru sando ₩11,000

They also sold cute candles and baked treats.

There were so many tempting bakery items, including salt bread, chocolate baguettes, sausage pizza bread, and onion cheese bread!

I also loved that they offer decaf! Sometimes you want coffee but caffeine feels like too much, so it’s nice to have that option. And get this—coffee refills are available here,,,
Peach fruit sando and iced Americano

I ordered an iced Americano and peach fruit sando! As you’d expect from a café near Ajou University in Suwon, there were lots of students studying alone. I blended right in and got a few things done by myself haha. True to its reputation for desserts near Ajou University, this nice plump peach sando arrived! I loved how it looked from the very first glance.

The peach had that perfectly ripe, firm-peach kind of feel, which is my personal favorite. There were already lots of peaches visible, but there were even more hidden inside that cream,,, This café near Ajou University sells a very generously filled fruit sando.

The coffee was nutty and made with fresh beans, with just the right easy-going flavor! It wasn’t too strong or too weak; it was an Americano anyone could enjoy, so I enjoyed it even more.

Honestly, fruit quality is 80 percent of a fruit sando, right? The fruit in Jo Hui-tak Coffee’s sando was all great quality, and because they use dairy whipped cream, it was impossible for it not to be delicious. It wasn’t that slick, slippery kind of cream—it tasted like rich milk cream, so it went wonderfully with the fruit.

Jo Hui-tak Coffee is always the first place I think of when I’m craving a sweet fruit dessert in Suwon. There are so many fruit cakes and sando varieties that it’s fun to choose one to suit your taste! The space is clean and has lots of seats, so it’s great for café studying (there are lots of outlets, too!) or spending time with friends. If you’re looking for a good café near Ajou University with delicious desserts, I confidently recommend Jo Hui-tak Coffeeoo.
