Yongridan-gil burger pub after a CGV movie: Bass Burger Sinyongsan

In short

Bass Burger Sinyongsan is a handmade burger and craft beer pub on Yongridan-gil, between Samgakji and Sinyongsan stations in Yongsan, Seoul. After an early morning screening of Odyssey at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall, a married couple ordered the Hawaiian Burger, THE Bass Burger, a Bass Lager (4.7%, 3,900 won), a chili mozza cheese bar and Smoky Bacon Grills, refilling the free self-bar potato chips twice. Bass Burger Sinyongsan is worth recommending for a lunch date after a movie in Yongsan.

Still moved by Odyssey, we were looking for somewhere to keep the mood going and ended up at Bass Burger. Recommended if you're around Yongsan I'Park Mall! ❤️

Entrance of Bass Burger Sinyongsan near Samgakji Station

It's close to Yongsan, Sinyongsan, and Samgakji stations, plus there's the Samgakji Temporary Public Parking Lot nearby with 240 spaces, so it's really accessible whether you're driving or on foot.

Pub-like interior of Bass Burger Sinyongsan

The vibe inside was casual but had a nice upscale pub feel! Good for lunch, and also perfect for coming back in the evening for a beer.

I was also impressed that they have terrace seating ✨

If you come for lunch you can eat your burger in the sunshine.

Free self-bar: unlimited potato chip refills at Bass Burger Sinyongsan

Bass Burger Sinyongsan has a self-bar with unlimited potato chip refills, and the chips were even really tasty!!

We refilled them several times! This is the first burger place I've been to with a service like this.

It was so nice being able to munch on crispy chips while waiting for the burgers!! They said the chips are freshly fried every morning 🍟

Interior with brick and wood-tone decor

I liked the brick and wood-tone interior — clean and great for a date!

There happened to be some foreign guests at the table next to us, and between the food and the atmosphere it honestly felt like being abroad!

Ordering tablet placed on each table

Every table has a tablet, so ordering was easy. They also offer free craft beer tastings!!! We tried a sample before ordering and drinking it down felt so satisfying.

What we ordered: the Hawaiian Burger and THE Bass Burger

There were so many good-looking items on the menu that we ordered generously (are we sure we just had popcorn at the movies? ✌🏻)

Table setting with Hawaiian Burger and THE Bass Burger ordered

We ordered the Hawaiian Burger and THE Bass Burger.

THE Bass Burger with a thick patty

THE Bass Burger was a classic burger — a thick, juicy patty with vegetables and cheese all coming together perfectly! Craft burgers really are good; this is a flavor anyone would like.

The Hawaiian Burger felt special with its grilled pineapple! Biting into that fresh pineapple cut through the richness and it was so good.

Bass Lager, the house craft beer at 4.7% for 3,900 won

A glass of draft Bass Lager

Bass Lager, 4.7%, ₩3,900 — a lager you can enjoy with a savory finish that goes down easy, then turns sweet.

Craft beer served alongside the burgers

We also ordered a craft beer to go with the burgers. There are so many kinds of craft beer, and it paired really well with the burgers.

If you come in the evening, adding a few more side dishes as anju (drinking snacks) alongside the craft beer would make for a proper pub experience.

Sides at Bass Burger: chili mozza cheese bar and Smoky Bacon Grills

A variety of side dishes ordered

We also tried a variety of side dishes.

Chili Mozza Cheese Bar side dish

Chili Mozza Cheese Bar, ₩3,700 — a crispy, spicy, American chili-style mozzarella cheese bar that's crunchy outside and gooey inside!! The spiciness made it a great match for beer.

Smoky Bacon Grills topped with broccoli and bacon

Smoky Bacon Grills, ₩6,400 — fresh broccoli and savory bacon topping with a smoky, grilled flavor that's light and satisfying. I highly recommend this one. Why did the broccoli taste like squid? It was the best broccoli I've ever had in my life. My husband, who doesn't even like broccoli, cleaned his plate — that says it all.

Refilled chips alongside the main dishes

We got another refill of the chips and enjoyed them alongside the mains! Bass Burger's best service, hands down.

Meal wrapped up with craft burgers and craft beer

The combo of Bass Burger's delicious craft burgers and craft beer is the best. If you're looking for a lunch or dinner date spot on Yongridan-gil, I recommend it.
