Inside Bass Burger Sinyongsan, from the entrance to the terrace seats

Here's the exterior first — it's a 5-minute walk from both Samgakji Station and Sinyongsan Station, so accessibility is great!

There's a Catch Table tablet by the entrance for checking in.
And there's Febreze right by the door! Perfect for anyone sensitive to oil or food smells 👏🏻

Here's the interior — there are 2-top and 4-top tables, and the warm lighting makes for a cozy atmosphere ✨ The tables are spaced comfortably too, so it was easy to chat while eating.

There are also terrace seats inside the store! The vibe there is great too 🌿 Since I visited during the day it was a bit warm so I sat inside, but you'll definitely want to enjoy the terrace before it gets colder, right?!

There's also info posted about ingredient origins and food allergies.

Free-refill potato chips at the self-bar
There's a self-bar tucked in one corner of the store! Water, cups, napkins, mayonnaise, ketchup, potato chips. I didn't expect much since the chips are unlimited refill, but they were plain, salty, and so tasty! Giving away beer snacks like that... 🍻

Do you know the plain-flavored 'Mudduk' potato chips? These taste similar 😋

Honest review: the wasabi mayo shrimp burger and the Bass Burger

Here's a shot of everything we ordered! Since they make each burger to order, it took a bit of time. If you're a working professional visiting on a weekday lunch, I'd recommend giving yourself extra time 🙂↕️

✔️ Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger - ₩10,900 / ✔️ Bass Burger - ₩8,200. Since it was lunch, we picked burgers that weren't too heavy. It had been a while since I had a proper handmade burger, and the buns with their subtle buttery aroma were so good! 🍔

The shrimp burger had plump whole shrimp along with onion rings and wasabi sauce — so good!! (Personally, shrimp burgers are my favorite type of burger.) The Bass Burger, with its beef patty, cheddar cheese, and house sauce combo, was the essence of a proper handmade burger!!

Sides: chili mozzarella cheese bar and sweet potato fries
✔️ Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar (1p) - ₩3,700 / ✔️ Sweet Potato Fries - ₩4,000. We ordered these two sides. The chili mozzarella cheese bar combines mozzarella cheese with a mildly spicy chili sauce, savory and salty and a great match with beer! 🧀 The sweet potato fries are fried sweet potato, so of course they were delicious… 🍠

Craft beer: Bass Lager and Gwanghwamun Stout
✔️ Bass Lager 4.7% - ₩3,900: Bass Burger's first-ever beer, made shyly. A lager beer with a smooth, nutty finish followed by a sweet aftertaste. ✔️ Gwanghwamun 7.5% - ₩6,300: Winner of a liquor award. A premium stout blending vanilla aroma with rich dark chocolate flavor.
We tried craft beer instead of soft drinks — the Bass Lager was refreshing with a clean, nutty taste, very solid overall, while the Gwanghwamun had a smooth finish with dark chocolate notes as a dark beer! It's probably a matter of personal taste, but I liked the Bass Lager better haha 😊
Sunday afternoon wait time and the verdict on Bass Burger Sinyongsan
We visited around 2pm on a Sunday and got seated right away! It wasn't super busy since it was an odd time slot, but groups kept steadily coming in 😋
Oh, and Bass Burger also has a fried chicken menu — with the nice atmosphere and variety of side dishes, it seems like a great spot for a second round of drinks too! If you're looking for a Yongridan-gil favorite or a great handmade burger spot, I recommend Bass Burger Sinyongsan~
