Goyang ramen restaurant with Sapporo draft beer 200ml: Gyedan Ramen
In short
Gyedan Ramen Ilsan Main Branch is a ramen restaurant on Bamlidan-gil in Goyang, Gyeonggi. Two bowls were ordered side by side to compare: gyedan ramen at 11,000 won and motsu ramen at 12,000 won topped with makchang (grilled pork intestine), plus tamago-bap for 3,000 won and a 200ml Sapporo draft beer for 3,000 won, all eaten comfortably at the roomy bar seats and 4-tops. Even with plenty of makchang the broth stayed clean rather than greasy, so the motsu ramen at Gyedan Ramen is the bowl to order if you want ramen that isn't too salty.

Today I visited Gyedan Ramen, famous as a ramen restaurant on Bamlidan-gil in Goyang!! I've been to countless ramen places, but this one was so good overall — from the ramen itself to every topping — that it's a true favorite I want to revisit 💕

Where is Gyedan Ramen Ilsan Main Branch? Parking and waiting
Gyedan Ramen Ilsan Main Branch is on Bamlidan-gil in Goyang, at 1F, 10 Yulcheon-ro 7beon-gil, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:00 with no break time, and parking is available.

It's close to Pungsan Station and a bus stop, so I walked over!

There's a parking lot at the restaurant, but it fills up fast on weekends, so I'd recommend walking or using the Jeongbalsan Park public parking lot!

Since it's such a well-known spot, there was a wait on the weekend! You can also join the waitlist remotely through CatchTable, so I'd recommend checking before you go~ We put our name down in person and looked around nearby, and got seated pretty quickly.

There's a menu posted outside, which was nice for deciding what to order ahead of time~
Inside Gyedan Ramen: bar seats with room to spare

The place is cozy, but with a mix of bar seats and 4-tops, it worked well for both a date and a family meal! In fact, couples, friends, and families were all visiting.

Even though the restaurant is on the small side, the tables aren't cramped, so we could eat comfortably. I've had uncomfortable experiences at bar seats where you're sitting right next to a stranger, but Gyedan Ramen spaced its bar seats out generously too — I liked that!
What we ordered at Gyedan Ramen and what it cost

Here's what we ordered at Gyedan Ramen Ilsan Main Branch.
- Gyedan Ramen ₩11,000
- Motsu Ramen ₩12,000
- Tamago-bap ₩3,000
- Sapporo draft beer 200ml ₩3,000

Our food came out pretty quickly after ordering. The prices weren't heavy on the wallet, but the portions were really generous, so it felt like great value. The toppings — wood ear mushroom, chashu — were piled on generously too, and just the sight of it got me excited.

Motsu ramen vs gyedan ramen: the makchang topping
The difference between motsu ramen and gyedan ramen is the makchang (grilled pork intestine) topping, and since the price gap is only ₩1,000, I'd recommend the motsu ramen for anyone who loves makchang!!

Even with a generous helping of makchang on top, the broth stayed clean and never got greasy. The makchang was grilled really well too, nutty and delicious. I'd want to order motsu ramen again next time I come back!!

The chashu wasn't thin either — it was nice and thick, yet really tender with great texture! Grilled over open flame to a golden brown with a subtle smoky note, it paired really well with the clean broth~

Add the spicy secret sauce for a hangover-cure bowl
About halfway through, I added the spicy secret sauce and got to enjoy a whole different flavor!

If you love spicy ramen, you'll really love this! It got spicier than I expected, with a hot, savory kick that felt like it cleared everything out — perfect as a hangover-curing ramen too.

Tamago-bap for 3,000 won: is it worth adding?
Tamago-bap is rice topped with fluffy scrambled egg, ground meat, and scallions — savory yet light, and it makes a great side dish to pair with ramen!

It went really well with the light, non-greasy broth of the gyedan ramen! If ramen alone feels like it's not quite enough, I'd recommend ordering tamago-bap alongside it. (You can also request a small portion of plain rice if you prefer!!)

Sapporo draft beer 200ml for 3,000 won
The broth was so good that we immediately ordered a Sapporo draft beer too, haha

Being on tap, it was refreshing and crisp ✨, and it paired really well with the ramen. A 200ml pour is perfect for a light drink!!

Japanese ramen can sometimes feel a bit heavy because of its characteristic salty, greasy flavor, but Gyedan Ramen reinterprets it to suit Korean tastes — not greasy, not too salty, and genuinely delicious! The noodle doneness was also spot on. I usually don't care much for wood ear mushroom, but sliced thin and eaten with the noodles, it added a nice texture that surprised me. The overall balance between the noodles and toppings was really well done and satisfying 🌟
Is Gyedan Ramen worth a visit? Final verdict
