Seogwipo café with brown cheese croffles: Forest Jeongbang
In short
Forest Jeongbang is an ocean-view café near Jeongbang Waterfall in Seogwipo, Jeju. On a clear day, I enjoyed views of Seopseom from the spacious seating, terrace, and second floor with an iced Americano and a brown cheese ice cream croffle for 10,000 won. Verdict: Forest Jeongbang is a great stop for a huge croffle and a calming sea view.

There are so many ocean-view cafés in Seogwipo, Jeju, and today I went to Forest Jeongbang (포레스트 정방), an ocean-view café near Jeongbang Waterfall, haha. It is so close to my parents' home—I had no idea there was such a pretty café here! ❤️
Seopseom ocean views at Forest Jeongbang near Jeongbang Waterfall
This is the ocean view straight from the café!! The island way off in the distance is Seopseom. 😍 What is this viewㅠㅠ It is so beautiful and instantly relaxing.

Forest Jeongbang is made up of two joined buildings. You order in the left-hand ground-floor building, while the right-hand ground-floor building and the left-hand second floor are the café. The dedicated parking lot is on the left side of the building; it looked big enough for about six cars, and it is free.

There are cute Pokémon friends at the café entrance, too. Haha, Squirtle is wearing a tangerine hat.

Inside the café is a tiny little garden, with a dol hareubang (Jeju stone grandfather statue) standing there. Haha, and Seopseom behind it has such a presence!!

The brown cheese ice cream croffle I ordered
- Iced Americano ₩5,000
- Brown cheese ice cream croffle ₩10,000

They also have sandwiches and cakes, so brunch with this gorgeous view would be nice, right?? The brunch sets were such good value too, so they seemed easy to enjoy without feeling like a splurge.

Then you get to draw one of these nostalgic prize slips. If you get first through third prize, it is basically like winning the lottery, so why not join in? Come to the café and take home a gift too, haha.
The weather was so nice that day—the sky was incredibly clear, and even distant Seopseom was super sharp. Not a single cloud in the sky; the weather fairy did it again today 👏

The atmosphere of the first floor, second floor, and terrace seating
This is the first floor of Forest Jeongbang, an ocean-view café in Jeju. The café is really spacious, and all the chairs are comfortable, so it seemed perfect for zoning out while looking at the sea.

My husband really loves the sea. Do all Seoul people love the ocean? My husband seriously goes crazy whenever he sees it 🫠

This is the second floor. Honestly, I think distant Seopseom looks better from up here, but the first floor has its own charm too, haha. I liked the first floor better.

If it is not too hot, sitting on the outdoor terrace would be nice too? But it was a little hot, so no one was out there, haha.

With the ocean view through the floor-to-ceiling windows, it really feels like my chest can finally breathe. The sky was so clear too, which made me so happy 😘

We had already eaten lunch, so we did not get brunch separately; we ordered two iced Americanos and the brown cheese ice cream croffle instead, haha. Reviews said this was supposed to be so delicious.

It is ₩10,000, but is this size for real,,,? Seriously, it is huge. The croffle itself was massive, with two scoops of ice cream on top, and brown cheese spilling over the sides.

I do not usually get dessert, but after seeing the review photos, I could not not order this—and I am so glad I did!!

With ocean-view cafés, you might expect them to sell desserts that are just not very good, but people say every dessert and sandwich at Forest Jeongbang is delicious!! And there was syrup drizzled over the top, but it was not honey—it was jocheong (Korean rice syrup). Amazing 👍 Jocheong is richer, thicker, nuttier, and sweeter than honey ❤️

If you want a croffle topped with jocheong on your Jeju trip, definitely visit Forest Jeongbang, haha.
