Gangnam Station hair salon mute brown full color before work: Heeol

My roots were desperate for a touch-up so I went hunting for a salon near the office, and I ended up at Heeol Hair Gangnam and was so happy with it! 🩶🩶

Heeol Hair Gangnam Flagship Store is at 37 Bongeunsa-ro 4-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, 3rd floor, open every day 10:00–19:00. It's between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, so recommended if you're after a trendy salon.

Since Heeol Hair Gangnam sits between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, it was really easy to reach by public transit. I just walked straight from Gangnam Station Exit 11 and got there in no time! The salon was so clean that I felt good the moment I walked in 🫧

The wood-tone interior is so nice. When a salon looks pretty, you kind of expect them to do your hair well too, haha…

A morning appointment before work: what is the salon like?

I came to Heeol Hair Gangnam before work in the morning, and the staff greeted me so warmly that it put me in a great mood ~ 🎵

Coloring tends to take a while, so the salon atmosphere matters more than you'd think — the bright, well-kept space made it comfortable to sit for a long stretch 🛋️

Booked a root touch-up, chose mute brown full color instead

Before starting, they hand you a personal pre-consultation questionnaire. I'd originally come for just a root touch-up, but my designer recommended a pretty mute brown, and since it's autumn, going a bit more subdued felt right, so I decided on a full mute brown color 〰️ Loved that the recommendation was tailored to me!

They brought me a drink during the coloring — I asked for hot chamomile, and worried it might be too hot, they even brought ice on the side 🥹

It's so inconvenient when a salon's restroom is outside, but Heeol Hair has one inside that's spotlessly clean — such a relief!

The staff all seemed to get along really well with each other, which probably explains why everyone was so kind!

How the mute brown color and clinic treatment went

When I said I was cold, they brought me a blanket too. This place is so warm-hearted… After the consultation, the coloring properly began! They applied the dye carefully and timed it precisely so the color would develop well. They kept checking on my hair condition and how the color was coming in along the way, so I could relax through the whole thing. The shampoo was so refreshing and the scalp massage was pure bliss.

I got a clinic treatment along with the coloring, and they were so thorough that my hair turned incredibly soft — soft enough to rival a shampoo commercial. When I went to work afterward, my teammates made a whole fuss just from looking at how soft my hair seemed 🌟

How the mute brown color looks for autumn

Isn't the color so pretty ,, 🤎🤎 Designer Song Geon really nailed the color that's trending right now, hats off to him... It looks even prettier in person but photos just can't capture it all, which is a shame. As we move into autumn and clothing colors start turning more muted, a mute hair color is just the best.
