My bob cut had been growing out without any real shape lately. So I went to get my hair done for a mood change! Moment Hair, right near Suraksan Station, has a director with amazing hands ✔ I checked out a bunch of other reviews before visiting, and she really nailed the custom design :) Here's my recommendation for a Nowon hair salon near Suraksan Station — let's go!

Moment Hair is a hair salon on the 2nd floor of 1672 Dongil-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul, right in front of Suraksan Station. It's open 11:00–20:00, closed every Wednesday.

Free parking is available behind the building, but the space is a bit tight, so I'd recommend public transit :)

The building is right in front of Suraksan Station Exit 2, so getting there was super easy! Head up to the 2nd floor and Moment Hair's entrance is right there :)
The moment I walked in, I was struck by how neatly the salon was kept! The waiting area is also spacious, with coffee and drinks ready, so even if there's a wait, you can relax :)
The shampoo chair — you always end up noticing it at a salon. Maybe because they also do hair spa treatments, but it was comfortable even lying back for a long time!

What I got done at Moment Hair this time was a bob layered cut and layered perm. I talked with the director I'd booked about my recent hair concerns and my usual hair condition, and told her the direction I wanted :)
My biggest requests were
- ✔ I want to lighten up the ends, which get heavier as my bob grows out
- ✔ A style I can manage with just a light blow-dry
In the end, we decided to go with a bob layered cut and layered perm!
From deep cleansing to heat perm — the process
It started with deep cleansing, and since this is a salon that does professional hair spa treatments, I was honestly touched by the premium service you can't get elsewhere ❤ The shampoo massage was so refreshing too!
During the softening solution step, she applied it carefully so it wouldn't burden my scalp :) She checked if it felt too hot and adjusted along the way depending on my hair's condition — very professional!
And then the heat perm! At other salons my neck often got sore from straining, but the director at Moment Hair used just the right amount of pressure, so my neck wasn't uncomfortable at all ❤
That tingly sensation — if you've had a perm before, you know exactly what I mean haha! She kept checking that nothing was being pulled too tight, so there was zero discomfort :)
After the perm was done, I got a head massage (so refreshing!) and a shampoo, and while styling my hair she used a foam-type product — applied to wet hair, it set with a nice moisturized finish! It even felt like it reduced damage?!
Curl-resistant hair, finished styling
The lower part of my bob got so much lighter and the volume came alive — I was so happy ❤ She gave me a layered perm designed so self-styling would be easy, and explained the styling method in detail so I could confidently try it on my own :)
I usually don't get perms because my hair just doesn't hold curl well, but Moment Hair, this Suraksan Station hair salon, put an end to that worry for good ❤ She gave me curls that were plenty tangled and bouncy, styled to fit my face shape — I couldn't not be satisfied!

No need to stress over what products to buy for self-styling — you can just pick them up on-site, for reference! This was my first time at a Suraksan Station hair salon at Moment Hair, and the director had no wasted movements, quick hands, and honestly amazing skill — I highly recommend her ❤ Her cutting skills were great too, so next time I need a touch-up, I'll definitely be back :)
People I ran into that day kept complimenting how great my hair turned out, so it was a happy day 🤭 I'll keep up the styling method she taught me and maintain this pretty hair!
