Osong Station Korean BBQ with thick pork belly half pig: Hanmaeum
In short
Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Osong 2 Sandan Branch is a butcher-shop-style Korean BBQ restaurant on the 3rd floor of a building in the Osong 2 Industrial Complex in Cheongju, Chungbuk. The order was dwaeji banmari (half pig), a platter of mixed pork cuts grilled at the table, served with thick-cut pork belly, pajeori (green onion salad) tossed with jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles), doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and side dishes from the self-serve bar. With a wide hall, partitions, group rooms, a kids' play area and 2 hours of parking support, Hanmaeum handles both Osong company dinners and family meals with ease.

Looking for a Korean BBQ spot in Osong that's good for a group? This time I visited Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Osong 2 Sandan Branch.

It's not just about tasty meat — the restaurant itself is genuinely huge, with group rooms, a kids' play area, a self-bar, and even parking support. Definitely a restaurant near Osong Station worth recommending for family meals or company dinners.

I ordered dwaeji banmari — a half pig — which lets you try several pork cuts at once. Let me walk through my honest review, plus the atmosphere and the play area!

How to get to Hanmaeum from Osong Station

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Osong 2 Sandan Branch is located toward the Osong 2 Industrial Complex, and it's a fairly easy trip from Osong Station,

so it's a good one to keep in mind when you're looking for a place to eat near Osong Station or an Osong Station Korean BBQ spot.

You can park right in the building and even get parking support, which made driving there really convenient.
Inside the Osong Station Korean BBQ: wide hall, partitions and group rooms

The first thing I noticed walking in was just how big it was! The hall itself is spacious with plenty of room between tables.

There are partitions between tables too, so even though the place is large, it never feels chaotic — it was comfortable to eat in.

Beyond the regular hall seating, there are also separate group rooms.

The rooms can be divided up or, by opening the walls, combined into a larger space — good for anything from a small group of about 6 to a bigger group of 20–30.

Whether it's dinner with coworkers or a big family gathering, having a space like this actually matters a lot.

With parking, group spaces, and even a separate smoking area inside the building, this place clearly has a lot going for it if you're looking for an Osong company dinner spot.
Kids' play area and baby chairs at this Osong Korean BBQ
One thing I really want to highlight about Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Osong Branch is the kids' zone. There's a dedicated play area for kids inside the restaurant, which looked really convenient for families bringing children along for BBQ.
Kids often have a hard time sitting still the whole meal, right? ㅠㅠ Parents can eat while the kids spend time in the play area,

so if you're looking for a family-friendly restaurant in Osong to bring your kids to, this is a real plus.

Baby chairs were also ready to go. Spacious hall + partitions + group rooms + kids' play area + baby chairs + self-bar + parking + smoking area — overall, everything you'd need for a comfortable visit with a lot of people, whether it's a family outing or a company dinner.
Hanmaeum Osong menu and the dwaeji banmari (half pig)

The menu covers both beef and pork with plenty of variety. You can order a single cut à la carte, or go with a set if you want to try several cuts at once.
We ordered dwaeji banmari — a half pig! It's a combination that lets you try several types of pork at once, so it suits anyone who'd rather sample a variety than stick to a single cut.
Self-serve side dish bar and pajeori with jjolmyeon noodles

The basic side dishes were a nice pairing with the meat too.

I was especially impressed by the pajeori (spicy green onion salad) that had jjolmyeon noodles mixed in — a twist on the usual shredded green onion side.
With the tangy-spicy sauce and chewy noodles together, it's a combo that cuts through the richness of the meat — I kept reaching for more!

There was doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) too, which was great for a warm spoonful between bites of meat.

From the meat to the side dishes to the self-bar, it all added up to a hearty meal — a solid restaurant in Osong, Cheongju.
Tasting the thick-cut pork belly from the dwaeji banmari
The moment the meat arrived, the thickness of the cuts was the first thing that caught my eye.

Once it hit the grill and turned golden brown, the smell of the meat cooking was amazing haha.
The bracken fern and garlic served alongside were grilled together with the meat, and they paired really well.

Pork can sometimes feel disappointing when it's cut too thin, but here it was nice and thick, so you really got that satisfying chew in every bite.

The outside grilled up golden while the inside stayed juicy, so it was delicious even eaten plain.

Wrap a piece of meat in lettuce with some pajeori and grilled bracken fern, and take a big bite — that's the move lol.
When there's a good variety of side dishes, part of the fun is mixing up the combinations as you go. And since you can grab more from the self-bar whenever you run low, there's no need to feel shy about it.
Is Hanmaeum a good spot for Osong company dinners and family meals?
Having visited in person, I'd say Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Osong 2 Sandan Branch stands out less for being just a place to eat meat and more for being a genuinely comfortable space to gather a group of people.
The spacious restaurant and group rooms make it a good Osong company dinner venue, and the kids' play area and baby chairs make it work well as a family restaurant with kids too.
On top of that, there's parking support, a self-bar, and a separate smoking area, so it's easy to check off everyone's needs at once. And if you're like me and want to try a variety of cuts, I'd recommend the dwaeji banmari!

If you're near Osong Station looking for a good restaurant, a Korean BBQ spot, a pork belly place, or a venue for a group dinner, give Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Osong 2 Sandan Branch a try :)
