I went to Dot, a well-known pork BBQ restaurant in Osong 🤍 I remembered it fondly from a work dinner, and now I got the chance to visit again through a good opportunity!!
They use premium-grade pork that's been aged, and staff grill it for you right at the table, so it's the perfect place to visit when you just want to enjoy good meat without any hassle!!

How to get to Dot Osong from Osong Station, and what the restaurant feels like
Dot Osong is a BBQ restaurant close to Exit 8 of Osong Station, and when I visited around 7pm it was already packed with people.

The first thing that catches your eye when you walk in is the meat aging in progress! Seeing the meat being aged right there made me even more excited haha. They also have a whole tub of the famous Maldon salt.

Even though it's a BBQ place, it's spacious enough that there's no smell at all, and there's a designated area to store your coat separately. In winter especially, wearing a padded jacket or coat to a BBQ place can be a hassle, so having a separate spot for that was such a thoughtful touch :)
Dot is an old Korean word for pig, apparently, which fits the restaurant's name perfectly haha. From the outside, it looks cleaner and more sophisticated than a typical BBQ restaurant. The place is spacious, so it would also be great for an Osong pork belly work dinner!
Dot Osong menu and Dot Set prices
The Dot Osong menu ranges from individual orders of pork neck, pork belly, skirt meat, and pork jowl to combination platters. We ordered the Dot Set for 2–3 people at ₩53,900, which comes with pork belly 200g, pork neck 200g, and skirt meat 200g, 600g in total!

There's a wide variety of side dishes too, and the drinks were well priced. They even have non-alcoholic beer haha.
Side dishes and the free Hanwoo beef tartare
Dot Osong's basic side dishes have a clean, simple feel. The tofu kimchi was great to pick at before the meat arrived.

There was a side dish — dried radish greens, maybe? — tossed in perilla oil that I found especially delicious. It went perfectly with the meat 💗

If your first order is three servings or more, you get Hanwoo beef tartare for free. It's 1++ grade Hanwoo eye-of-round tartare! It really wakes up your appetite before you dig into the meat haha.
The Dot Set for 2–3: 600g of aged pork grilled by the staff
Pork jowl, pork neck, and pork belly combo! It's 600g, so the portion is huge, right? The cuts were super thick and the color of the meat was so pretty!!

🔥 The most convenient part was the staff grilling service. At this Osong favorite, Dot, the staff grill the meat for you directly! They go table to table grilling, and they kept it so juicy that it somehow tasted even better...?

Maybe because it's aged meat, it was so chewy and the texture was really vibrant.

At this Osong Station favorite, Dot, having someone else grill for us meant we could chat away and it was so relaxing. The tables next to us were spaced out generously too, which made it even more comfortable.
A dip in Maldon salt and wasabi 🥰

My favorite, pork jowl — juicy with just the right crisp-tender bite, the best. How is it that Dot's meat has zero gamey smell and is this delicious?

The grilled mushrooms were also super tasty!

Even the last of the pork belly was crispy outside, tender inside.

Side order: doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice)
We also ordered the doenjang sul-bap (soybean paste rice) as a side dish — it was thick, rich, and a generous portion!

It was packed with tofu and beef brisket, so it tasted almost like a hangover cure hahaha. The table next to us had the cold jjolmyeon noodles, which looked tasty too.
With its upscale vibe and staff grilling the meat for you, this Osong BBQ spot had a real date-night feel! This was my second visit, and I think I'll keep coming back 💗
