Jecheon Korean restaurant for scallion bulgogi: Deulbabae
In short
Deulbabae Forest Resom Branch is a Korean restaurant on the third floor of the Forest Clubhouse at Forest Resom in Jecheon, Chungbuk. During a stay at Forest Resom, we ordered the new San-deomi Pa Bulgogi and simmered its generous pile of scallions and bulgogi at the table with rice. Verdict: a convenient, filling Korean dinner without leaving the resort.

Looking for a Korean dinner during a stay at Forest Resom?
On this Jecheon trip, I stayed in a Forest S30 room at Forest Resom. After relaxing comfortably at the accommodation and wondering where to have dinner, I ate at Deulbabae Forest Resom Branch (들밥애 포레스트리솜점), inside Forest Resom.
It is nice to head farther out for a meal when traveling, but when you want an easy Korean meal during your stay, using a restaurant inside the resort is pretty convenient too :)
Location and atmosphere at Deulbabae Forest Resom Branch
Deulbabae is on the third floor of Forest Resom's Clubhouse building, so it is a great place to eat while staying at Forest Resom. With a focus on Korean dishes, it was a good stop when I wanted a proper rice-based meal rather than something overly intense while traveling.

It is worth keeping in mind for a family trip with your parents or if you are looking for Korean food during a Forest Resom stay.

Ordering the new San-deomi Pa Bulgogi
Here is the Deulbabae menu ☺️ We wondered what to order, then decided to try the new menu item.

What we ordered that day was San-deomi Pa Bulgogi, or “mountain-pile scallion bulgogi”! True to its name, it arrived with a generous heap of scallions and bulgogi (marinated Korean beef), so it caught my eye right away.

First, the basic banchan (Korean side dishes) came out. Even though they were appetizers, they suited my taste quite well.

Simmered scallions and bulgogi with rice
The meat sat in the middle, surrounded by a big pile of scallions, making it a very photogenic dish too. Bulgogi really tastes best simmered hot, so we let it bubble away at the table as we ate.
As the scallions cooked, they gave off a sweet aroma, and with the bulgogi seasoning, it was the kind of flavor that made me think of rice! I personally love bulgogi with scallions, so loading up the meat with plenty of scallions was delicious.
When looking for Korean food in Jecheon, meat, cafés, and famous local spots are all nice during a trip, but sometimes you crave a warm Korean meal like this. Especially after walking around and relaxing at Forest Resom all day, you start wanting a hearty rice dinner, and a dish such as Deulbabae's San-deomi Pa Bulgogi that goes well with rice was a good choice.
An easy dinner taken care of inside the resort
Most of all, it was convenient to take care of dinner inside Forest Resom without having to travel far from the accommodation.
Along with San-deomi Pa Bulgogi, Deulbabae sells a variety of Korean dishes, including full set meals, making it a good place to visit for anyone looking for a Korean set meal or Korean food on a Jecheon trip.
I visited Deulbabae while looking for somewhere to have dinner during my stay at Forest Resom in Jecheon. We had the San-deomi Pa Bulgogi, and the combination of scallions and bulgogi went well with rice; best of all, being able to eat comfortably inside the accommodation was the best part.
If you are planning to stay at Forest Resom on a Jecheon trip and are looking for a good Forest Resom restaurant where you can eat without traveling far, keep Deulbabae in mind too :) On this Jecheon trip, taking care of both my stay and meal in one place made everything more convenient 🤍
