Soft tofu restaurant in Gangneung with kongbiji gamjatang: Matdeurin
Matdeurin Sundubu Haejangguk & Gamjatang is a Korean soft tofu and pork-spine stew restaurant on Jukheon-gil in Gangneung, near Ojukheon. Instead of the usual sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew), the writer ordered the sundubu (kongbiji) gamjatang for 35,000 won with a side of fried shrimp, and the kongbiji (ground soybean pulp) melted into the broth for a nutty depth next to the crisp shrimp. For anyone who wants soft tofu served a different way in Gangneung, Matdeurin's sundubu gamjatang is the answer.
