The 2-3 person rib set (₩65,000) includes 400g of seasoned king ribs, 400g of pork neck steak, and 2 pieces of seasoned beef ribs, plus complimentary tteokbokki, seonjiguk (ox blood soup), and corn cheese. With ample parking and a group room, it's an easy pick for family meals or gatherings in Gimhae's Jangyu area.
Jjimgoeul is an agujjim (braised monkfish) restaurant a five-minute walk from Jinjuseong Fortress in Jinju, Gyeongnam. The writer ordered the small boneless agujjim at medium spice, served with five side dishes, bean sprout soup and a kid-friendly rice with seaweed flakes, and enjoyed the tender boneless meat without any picking-apart needed. Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Tongdosa Branch is a chicken kalguksu restaurant near Tongdosa Temple and Sinpyeong Bus Terminal in Yangsan, Gyeongnam. Anyeosane Jecheol Hansang (안여사네 제철한상) Sangnam main branch is a Korean restaurant in Sangnam-dong, Changwon, where gondre thistle rice and a clam soft tofu hot pot come together as one set table. On a return visit after a satisfying meal in May, the writer ordered the same set with the spicy hot pot and added jeyuk (spicy stir-fried pork), and noticed small changes in the lineup such as fried eggplant. The spicy soft tofu hot pot is the hearty dish that keeps bringing people back to Anyeosane Jecheol Hansang.
