Nowon sushi buffet weekend lunch with mom, mala tang and jjambbong

Weekend date with mom at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, Hagye-dong
Today was my weekend date with mom, and since I was craving a bit of everything, we went to Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch. It turned out to be the perfect spot for a family meal in Nowon — let me tell you about it right away.

Definitely check parking before you go
The parking lot entrance is at the back of the building — first 120 minutes free, then ₩4,000 per 30 minutes, max ₩80,000. There's a wedding hall in the building, so weekends get quite crowded. Parking support is limited here, so I'd recommend public transit on weekends, especially Sundays. Every Saturday, you can use the Hagye Technotown underground lot for up to 4 hours.
Getting there from Hagye Station
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is in Hagye-dong, inside the Seoul Oncheon building. The closest subway station is Hagye Station 🚊, and buses 1132, 1224, and 1221 pass by 🚎. I went by bus!
You go in through the building entrance and take the elevator up to the 6th floor. There's a church and a wedding hall in the same building, so 🚨 it gets really crowded on weekends 🚨.
Once you get off on the 6th floor, the Kuu Kuu entrance is right there, so you won't get lost haha.
Reservations and waiting
Kuu Kuu takes real-time Naver reservations, and as long as you book up to 2 hours before your visit, you can walk in without waiting. If you didn't reserve and there's a wait, you'll need to sign up through Catch Table ✔️
Prices and corkage
Weekday lunch is the cheapest option, while weekday dinner and weekend/holiday prices go up to the ₩30,000s. With so many menus beyond just sushi, the buffet price actually feels reasonable given how expensive everything is these days 💸
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch allows corkage (excluding alcohol sold in-store). Wine, whiskey, sake, traditional liquor — ₩10,000 per bottle, no limit on the number of bottles. If you're visiting on a special occasion, using the corkage service at that price seems like a great idea 🍾
Raw salmon sashimi and Kuu Kuu ice cream — just looking at them makes me hungry. There's also smoked duck and the new LA-style galbi on the menu now.

Time limit and good things to know
Kuu Kuu's standard time limit is 2 hours, but it drops to 1.5 hours if there's a wait ⏰. I visited around noon on a Saturday, and staff mentioned there might be a time limit since reservations were heavy that day — but the turnover was so fast that I still got to eat comfortably.
There's waiting seating near the front of the store, so if there's a line, you can wait there.
