I stopped by Avenue France in Gwanggyo for the first time in a while, and while I was there I visited Base Burger, famous for its chilli mozza cheese bar and burgers!

We visited just a bit after lunchtime! There were so many delicious-looking menu items that I really agonized over what to pick haha 🥹 Overall the menu was clean and tasty 👍🏻👍🏻 I always struggle to find a good restaurant whenever I come to Gwanggyo Avenue France, but this place is a total recommendation!

• 📍 Location: 2nd floor, B205-1, 85 Central Town-ro, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea (it's on the 2nd floor of the Raon Zone in Avenue France!! Super easy to find — just take the escalator up in front of Cook Bong and it's right there 🤍)

• 🅿️ Parking: Available!! You can use the underground parking lot of the Avenue France building

There are 2 kiosks so you can order without waiting! You register a buzzer and take your own food — when the buzzer buzzes, you go to the pickup counter and grab it ☺️

Inside Base Burger: interior and seating

The interior is in wood-brown tones, so it felt cozy and clean! The long vertical table layout and the kitchen placement kept things from feeling cramped, so you can eat with friends or family without feeling like other customers are in your space 👍🏻

The best part: free refills of warm potato chips

My favorite part was this self-serve corner 🤤👍🏻

The mayonnaise and ketchup sauces were nicely set up so you could take one packet each (love the individual packaging!!) and you can pour your own water ‼️ And on one side they kept potato chips warm so you could scoop as many as you wanted — we ended up going for them three separate times. 🥔🥔🥔

What the writer ordered, and how it tasted

After about 15 minutes of waiting, the food came right out !! Our order was a sriracha cheese burger single, a mushroom burger set, a chilli mozza cheese bar, and one cider ‼️

Whoa, this looks so good 🤤 Especially the chilli mozza cheese bar — I was most excited for that one 🔥

Everything was arranged neatly on a stainless steel tray, which somehow made it look even more appetizing 🥹🥹

Chilli mozza cheese bar: the cheese pull

The chilli mozza cheese bar I was most curious about!!! It was just as good as I'd hoped 🥹🥹 The cheese inside stretched out in long pulls, and the sauce coating the outside was spicier and a bit punchier than I expected, which made it even better. Dipping it in the ranch sauce or mayonnaise that came with it made it even tastier ‼️

Look at that cheese stretching out!! So chewy and gooey 🥹 But be careful, it's a bit spicy!!

Sriracha cheese burger

Cheese burger 🧀🍔 I picked the sriracha cheese burger because I was craving a cheese burger with a sauce that's a little rich and greasy with a hint of spice!! The patty was just thick enough to eat comfortably, and the cheese inside was melted just right, so that first bite hit exactly the cheese burger flavor I wanted 🤤 The bun was also really soft, so it never felt heavy or dry ‼️ The combination of the gooey cheese and the finely chopped onions was great 👍🏻 I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a cheese burger but can't handle too much greasiness.

Mushroom burger with whole shiitake

Mushroom burger 🍄🍔 It has a whole shiitake mushroom inside, which feels like a special item you can't get at a regular chain 🍄 The shiitake mushroom was really thick, and when you bit into it, mushroom juice burst out — genuinely delicious. It went well with the sauce, and the fresh tomato tied everything together nicely 🍄🍅 It was big enough that this alone was really filling... Overall Base Burger's sauces seem to be excellent, and the ranch sauce that came with it was also great drizzled over the burger. I really love that sauce comes included 🥹

French fries in the set

French fries 🍟 They weren't thin — they had just the right thickness, so I kept reaching for more haha... They were fried evenly all the way through, so they stayed crispy to the last bite ‼️ I dipped them in ketchup, and the ketchup had a slightly different flavor from regular ketchup. There was a hint — just a hint — of spice that seemed to cut through the greasiness!!

The cider and cola cups had this cute Base Burger logo on them ㅠㅠ😍

Is Base Burger Gwanggyo worth a visit?

Overall this was a great burger restaurant!!🍔 I visit Gwanggyo Avenue France often, and I always struggle to find a good place to eat every time I come, but I'd be happy to come back here again next time. If you're looking for a good restaurant in Gwanggyo Avenue France, give this place a try 🥹🥹‼️
