Suwon café lemon butter pasta and jambon hummus: Kueodeukkutteu
In short
Kueodeukkutteu is a café and Western-style restaurant with terrace seating on Sinpung-ro in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. Visiting with friends right at opening on a weekend, the writer ordered manjo truffle green pea risotto for 19,000 won, jambon hummus for 15,000 won, lemon butter pasta for 17,000 won and perilla oil ice cream for 5,000 won. The lemon butter pasta was the standout on a menu you rarely see elsewhere, and Kueodeukkutteu works best when a group shares several plates.

Hi, this is Seul-i. Today I visited Kueodeukkutteu, a spot in Haenggung-dong, Suwon known for its café terrace. It's a hotspot in Haenggung-dong, so of course it's packed with customers on weekends! We went right at weekend opening time and the place was already full.

Is the Kueodeukkutteu terrace good for groups or families with a baby?
Kueodeukkutteu is famous as a café in Haenggung-dong, Suwon with a terrace, and the terrace vibe is insane haha. The seats are spacious and there are plenty of tables, so it seems great for groups too. Baby chairs are provided, and I saw a lot of people who came with babies. It's also a perfect spot for wedding invitation gatherings or birthday parties! A café-and-Western-restaurant combo that women will absolutely love.

Inside Kueodeukkutteu: floor-to-ceiling windows and a date-friendly room
Kueodeukkutteu's interior also has amazing vibes thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. We visited on a weekend afternoon, but I bet it'd be even better on a weekday afternoon or as the sunset slowly rolls in on a weekend. Such a good spot for building chemistry with someone.. I'd recommend it for a blind date too. My friend actually had a blind date here. Great atmosphere, and since it's both a Western restaurant and a café, you can handle everything in one place!

What's on the Kueodeukkutteu menu and how to order
Kueodeukkutteu, the café-terrace spot in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, is packed with menu items great for brunch — risotto, pasta, egg-in-hell, French toast — all substantial enough for a full meal! You order via the QR code on the table, which was super convenient. There were definitely a lot of female customers. On a cool, breezy fall day like this, sitting on the terrace and taking it easy sounds amazing. The interior was pretty too, so we decided to eat inside. The staff were super kind, and the food came out pretty quickly!

Manjo truffle green pea risotto, 19,000 won
I figured we needed a rice dish, so I ordered the risotto. It comes topped with a small amount of meat, which adds a nice extra flavor.. They called it truffle risotto and the truffle aroma was so good, and I wondered how green peas would work in risotto — turns out they go together shockingly well. Made nice and thick, it was really tasty.

Jambon hummus, 15,000 won
Jambon hummus is another dish you don't easily see elsewhere, so I ordered it, and the umami was great.. Tearing the bread that came with it along the grain and dipping it in was, as expected, delicious. The jambon sliced ham seemed to be good quality too. One of the dishes everyone — me and my friends — was happy with!

Lemon butter pasta, 17,000 won
My pick, the lemon butter pasta, was.. such a lingering flavor... I really want to go back just for this pasta. The lemon aroma was refreshing, and of course lemon and butter go well together. It's rare to find lemon pasta easily, so Kueodeukkutteu, the café-terrace spot in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, felt really distinctive with menu items you don't see much elsewhere. I'm planning to visit again soon to try the other menu items :)
The table next to us ordered the seasonal fruit French toast, and it looked so fluffy, sweet, and delicious. Next time I'll definitely order the French toast too. Since the menu is so varied, I'd recommend visiting with several people and ordering multiple dishes to share!

Perilla oil ice cream, 5,000 won
The perilla oil ice cream I ordered for dessert had a nutty flavor and was way tastier than I expected? Perilla oil ice cream? I wondered if it would actually taste good, but not ordering it would have been a real regret..
Is Kueodeukkutteu worth a visit in Suwon?
Both my friends and I were super satisfied with Kueodeukkutteu, the atmospheric café-terrace spot in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. Great location, great menu, great taste, and the prices are totally reasonable for what you get! Highly recommend Kueodeukkutteu for anyone looking for Western food, an outdoor terrace, a café, or an outdoor drinking spot in Haenggung-dong, Suwon!
