Today I was really craving a buffet packed with delicious sushi and all kinds of dishes, so I went with my family to Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch, known as a great sushi spot in Inge-dong!

Where is Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch, and where do you park?

Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch is located near Suwon City Hall Station, so it's really easy to reach by public transport. But if you're driving and following navigation, there's something to watch out for! Navigation apps sometimes direct you to the apartment parking lot behind the building. Don't panic — just head into the underground parking entrance right next to where you see the Kuu Kuu sign in the alley, and you'll be able to park easily.

The restaurant operates daily from 11am to 10pm, and prices are ₩28,900 for weekday lunch (before 5pm), ₩32,900 for weekday dinner (after 5pm), and ₩36,900 on weekends and holidays.

How is a premium Gold branch different from a regular Kuu Kuu?

I'd only been to regular branches before, so this was my first visit to a Kuu Kuu Gold, and I was blown away the moment I walked in by the sheer scale and spotless facilities. The tables were spaced generously and the flow was efficient, so even a large group could dine comfortably. The cleanliness level in particular felt like the best among Inge-dong sushi buffets I've been to, so my first impression was already very satisfying.

The open-flame BBQ grill zone, only at Gold branches

There was a signature zone at Kuu Kuu Gold that clearly set it apart from a regular Kuu Kuu. It's a direct-fire BBQ and grill zone where you can grill meat, seafood, and vegetables yourself to your taste! True to its name, meaning "the finest of land and sea," there was a generous spread of meat and various seafood, and grilling it golden-brown on the spot was so much fun. Eating it piping hot right off the grill made the flavor absolutely incredible.

Heated food cases that keep the fried dishes crisp

Among all the sushi buffets I've visited in Suwon, one of the things I liked most was the hygienic way food was kept. Warm dishes like fried food, meat, and bread were all stored in heated food cases with doors that open and close automatically. Thanks to that, the fried food stayed crispy and warm until the end of the meal, and the bread stayed warm and soft too. This kind of detail — keeping things clean while keeping the food at its best — is exactly the charm of "Gold," I thought.

The best dish at Kuu Kuu Gold: roe-packed soy marinated crab

And this visit, my absolute favorite dish was, without question, the soy marinated crab (ganjang gejang)! Honestly, I usually don't expect much from buffet-style ganjang gejang, but I was amazed at how good the yield was and how packed with roe it was. The soy sauce marinade was sweet and savory without being too salty, soaking all the way through, so I went back for several plates and thoroughly demolished them. Between the fresh sushi and all the desserts, everything was perfect — it was such a satisfying meal that I want to come back again soon!
