Pocheon Italian restaurant near Wangbangsan: octopus ink risotto
In short
Eoneu Dal is an Italian restaurant on Jeongmun-dong-gil in Pocheon, Gyeonggi, near Wangbangsan mountain and Pocheon Art Valley. After hiking Wangbangsan, three family members ordered the August-only risotto of the month with octopus (22,000 won), a large salmon salad (19,000 won) and beef tomato pasta (19,000 won), with pre-meal bread and lemon-scented water served by default. The octopus ink risotto was the standout at Eoneu Dal, and since the restaurant is corkage-free, the next visit will include a bottle of wine.

Where is Eoneu Dal? Near Pocheon Art Valley and Wangbangsan
Eoneu Dal in Pocheon is an Italian restaurant on Jeongmun-dong-gil, also known as a go-to spot near Pocheon Art Valley. My family and I had just hiked Wangbangsan mountain when we heard about a famous Italian restaurant nearby, so we went to check it out! It was packed with customers and totally satisfying haha. Here's my review 🤗🤗
Is parking easy at Eoneu Dal?

Eoneu Dal has a spacious dedicated parking lot right in front, so parking is a breeze! Since it's in a slightly out-of-the-way spot, I'd recommend driving there.
Inside Eoneu Dal: waiting area and group seating

Since it's such a famous restaurant in Pocheon, there can be a wait when it's busy! There's an indoor waiting area set up like this. You could really feel the owner's consideration for guests 💘

The interior had a bright, white-toned feel 🤍 There were plenty of tables with generous spacing, so we could dine at ease~~ If you're looking for a date-night restaurant in Pocheon, this place is a win 😘

There's also a separate group seating area, so I'd highly recommend it for family or group dining in Pocheon haha. Plus, the yellow flower decorations give it a cute, warm vibe 🌼💛

The evening sky through the floor-to-ceiling windows after sunset. No special view, but the big windows give a great sense of openness.
What's on the menu at Eoneu Dal

Steak — prime-grade striploin, 1st-grade hanwoo striploin. There's a quality striploin steak here too. No matter what, the foundation of Western dining is always steak 🥩

Salad — salmon salad, shrimp salad, caprese, green salad. There's a good variety of salads, so it's perfect even if you're watching your diet while eating out 🥗

Pasta — white ragu gnocchi, mushroom cream pasta, original carbonara, vongole, basil tomato pasta, beef tomato pasta, garlic shrimp pasta, shrimp rosé pasta. Since this place is also known for pasta in Pocheon, the variety is impressive. With tomato, rosé, cream, and oil-based options, you can pick whatever suits your taste haha.

Pilaf — mushroom pilaf, shrimp pilaf, cheese pilaf, chicken risotto, this month's octopus risotto, blue crab risotto. It's a corkage-free place, but we didn't bring wine, which was a bit of a shame ㅠㅠ There aren't many corkage-free restaurants, so I'll definitely bring a bottle from home next time 🍷
What three of us ordered at Eoneu Dal, and the prices

What we ordered was this month's octopus risotto, a large salmon salad, and beef tomato pasta. It's enough food for three people to eat till they're stuffed 🐽 Great value for money too >_<
Pre-meal bread and lemon-scented water

Eoneu Dal is a restaurant that includes pre-meal bread as standard. As soon as we sat down, they brought out bread and water full of lemon fragrance 😘❤️ I really love places that serve pre-meal bread 🥐🥖 Can't help it, I'm a known bread lover. Even though it wasn't for sale and just came as a default, it was chewy and mild and so delicious haha.
Salmon salad L, 19,000 won

Wow, this is THE salad spot in Pocheon, everyone..! Salads at regular Western restaurants (not salad specialty shops) usually only feel like appetizer portions, but Eoneu Dal in Pocheon is different 🥰🥰 Even though we ordered the large size anyway, it came piled high with vivid pink salmon and plenty of crisp, fresh vegetables!! The sauce amount, which is usually disappointingly small whenever I get salad, was generous here too, so I could drizzle it on without holding back haha. The harmony between the salad and sauce was fantastic!
Octopus ink risotto of the month, 22,000 won (August only)
The octopus ink risotto was this month's special risotto. Since it's an August-only menu item, I figured I'd better try it while I could — and it was seriously de-li-cious. The salty ink risotto topped with plump octopus was amazing, the octopus was genuinely meaty and satisfying 🐙 This was the most satisfying dish out of everything at Eoneu Dal..! Eoneu Dal is the best Western restaurant in Pocheon.
Beef tomato pasta, 19,000 won

Beef tomato pasta — this one is great for anyone who loves tomato-based spaghetti. I'd heard from a friend before that Eoneu Dal's pasta was really good, and it's the kind of flavor worth traveling far for..! The combination of beef carpaccio, tomato sauce, and chewy pasta noodles was pure art. Next time I want to try the gnocchi at Eoneu Dal too!!
