Seonyudo burger restaurant: sweet potato fries with ranch sauce, BAS

In short

BAS Burger Seonyudo is a burger restaurant right in front of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Ordering by tablet, the writers swapped in grilled onion and sweet potato fries to share the classic BAS burger and the double BAS burger, and dipping the sweet potato fries in ranch sauce beat regular fries. If two people are visiting, picking a different side each and sharing is the best way to enjoy BAS Burger Seonyudo.

Hi, this is Hodu! Today I'm trying BAS Burger, om nyom nyom.

Han River Park weather is finally coming! I got dragged by the neck (lol) by Yudi, who wanted to head out with a picnic mat from the weekend afternoon, so we went to Seonyudo.

Where is BAS Burger Seonyudo?

While looking for lunch near Seonyudo, we settled on BAS Burger Seonyudo, right in front of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station. It's so close you can spot it the moment you step out of the station!!

Ordering tip: change toppings and sides on the tablet

Every table has a tablet, so you can order comfortably right from your seat.

The menu ranges from burgers to sets to sides, and you can change toppings or sides however you like, so it's great for mixing and matching to your taste.

Hodu's Pick 1 — swap to grilled onion

‼️Hodu's Pick 1: definitely swap the onion for grilled onion! The sweet caramelized flavor of the browned onion is the kicker.

Hodu's Pick 2 — swap to sweet potato fries

‼️Hodu's Pick 2: if two of you order a set, have one person swap the French fries for sweet potato fries! So sweet~~ sweet potato is BAS Burger's honey-flavored hidden gem.

Hodu's Pick 3 — dip in the milkshake

‼️Hodu's Pick 3: if two of you order a set, have one person swap their drink for a milkshake and dip the French fries into it, haha. It's a violently good taste.

Wait, the chips are free…?🥔

And honestly my personal favorite thing about BAS Burger, haha — there's a corner with James Gam potato chips set up, and dine-in guests can eat them for free! They're apparently fried fresh every morning too.

Not a single soggy chip in sight — crisp all the way through, and everything was run cleanly.

A visual that's hard not to get greedy over.

Sauces are also set up so you can grab whatever suits your taste!

Sauce bar set up for guests to help themselves

While waiting for the burgers after ordering, we started picking off one or two chips at a time — salty and crunchy, so my hand kept reaching back. Even knowing the fries were still coming, I couldn't stop eating chips, haha.

BAS burger & double BAS burger 🍔

The burgers finally arrived! Yudi got the double BAS, Hodu got the classic BAS. The classic BAS burger was plenty filling on its own, but if you love meat, the double BAS burger is the one to get.

The double BAS burger is definitely bigger. With two patties, it felt noticeably heartier with a stronger meaty flavor, which was very satisfying. That said, it wasn't overly heavy either — there was plenty of tomato and lettuce, so the overall balance was solid!

Sauce it to your taste too!

Sauce display shelf with several varieties

BAS Burger had quite a variety of sauces. BBQ, honey mustard, BAS Burger house sauce, ranch, myeongnan mayo (spicy pollack roe mayo), and more were all available, and the basic sauces were free to use.

But for sweet potato fries, it's ranch sauce!

The sweet potato fries were crisp on the outside and sweet inside — proper sweet-and-salty!!! Dipping them in ranch sauce, personally, I liked it more than regular fries, haha. If two of you are visiting, I definitely recommend picking a different side each and sharing!

Overall the burgers were filling and there was a good range of side options, so it was a solid spot for when you're craving a handmade burger! Being right in front of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station also made it really accessible.

What I liked, summed up

  • A hearty handmade burger with a solid patty
  • Free chips fried fresh every morning
  • Various sauces provided for free
  • Free soda refills
  • Toppings and sides can be swapped to taste

These are the things I liked. If you're near Seonyudo Station wondering what to have for lunch, or craving a proper burger-and-fries day, it's worth stopping by.
