Baby-friendly café in Pocheon Gomori with high chairs: Geurine Oasis
In short
Geurine Oasis is a large bakery café in front of Gomo Reservoir in Pocheon, Gyeonggi, divided into five spaces: a main building, an annex, a dog run, outdoor seating, and a rooftop. On a rainy weekday morning, the writer came with her 27-month-old twins and her mother, sat the children in the annex high chairs, and had salt bread with a latte and a dark chocolate latte for 19,800 won, with the annex so quiet until noon that it felt booked out for them. Floor-level steps and sharp metal table corners mean parents have to stay alert, but Geurine Oasis works well for combining a meal, coffee, and a reservoir walk in one trip.

Now that the weather is cooling off, the cafés around Gomo Reservoir in Pocheon are so baby-friendly that I keep ending up back in this neighborhood. It's easy to drive to and easy to park, and there are so many large cafés that there's something for every age — from stroller-bound babies to kids who just want to run wild on the grass.
If you're searching for cafés near Seoul, I'd really recommend this Gomo-ri café in Pocheon — it's within an hour if you're coming from the eastern side of Seoul.

What kind of café is Geurine Oasis in Pocheon?
This time I visited with my 27-month-old twins and my mother — the place we went is 'Geurine Oasis,' famous as one of Pocheon's large bakery cafés. The scale is genuinely impressive! Here's a quick clip first ❤️
The five spaces at Geurine Oasis

Main building, annex, dog run, outdoor seating, and rooftop (the annex rooftop is a no-kids zone, so we didn't get to go up there)

What toddlers love about Geurine Oasis

We don't have a dog, but the twins were so excited just watching dogs run around the dog run from a distance. If your kids love dogs, this is a great dog-friendly café in Pocheon to bring them to.
Wouldn't you know it, it rained the day we went, which threw me off — but my second twin, who's currently obsessed with using an umbrella, was thrilled instead! 😂
🚗 Parking and getting around Geurine Oasis with a baby
Geurine Oasis has a spacious parking lot, so there's no need to worry about parking, and there are restaurants clustered right near the café, which makes the whole route really convenient.

Fried chicken, kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), jjukkumi (spicy octopus), tonkatsu, and more
Gomo Reservoir walking course
Right in front of the café is the walking path around Gomo Reservoir, so you can ride a paddle boat or take a walk along the water. As a mom who has to minimize time in the car, I loved that 'meal → café → walk' could all happen in one trip.
For reference, there's free parking at Gomo Reservoir — when you're standing at Geurine Oasis facing the reservoir, you'll see a stage across the way. The free parking lot is behind and to the right of that stage.
🥖 Ordering and menu review at Geurine Oasis
Orders are placed at the kiosk in the main building, and instead of a buzzer, you get notified through a KakaoTalk message on your phone. For moms juggling kids' bags and gear, not having to keep track of a buzzer was genuinely convenient!

Salt bread, latte, and dark chocolate latte for 19,800 won
One salt bread, a latte, and a dark chocolate latte (19,800 won total)

Salt bread: I brushed off a bit of the salt on top before giving it to them, and the buttery aroma was strong without being too salty — the 27-month-olds ate it up.

Drinks: the latte had rich, nutty coffee flavor, and the dark chocolate latte was on the sweeter side. Now I'm curious what a plain Americano would have been like...

The drinks are a little pricier, but they come in eco-friendly reusable cups. After we finished, I washed them out in the bathroom and used them to carry the kids' milk on the way home — the twins, who'd been eyeing my cup enviously, were so happy about it. 💛
🔥 The fire-gazing zone: a different kind of Pocheon date spot
One of the hidden gems of Geurine Oasis is that it's a café where you can enjoy 'mul-meong' (staring at water) with a reservoir view as well as 'bul-meong' (fire-gazing)! When ordering at the kiosk, I noticed there's a dedicated seating area set aside for tabletop fire-gazing. We were traveling with young kids so we didn't get to try it ourselves, but it looked so romantic and unusual.

My family goes camping regularly so fire-gazing is familiar to us, but for anyone who finds camping gear and prep too much of a hassle, this is a perfect way to enjoy the fire-gazing mood without any of it. Once the weather cools down further, this would be great for a romantic date or a cozy family outing in Pocheon. 🪵🔥
🪑 Annex tips and the reservoir view
If you're coming with a child, I'd recommend grabbing a seat in the Geurine Oasis annex first!

- Baby chairs available: the annex has baby chairs ready to use.
- Annex recommended: it's much easier to move between the annex and the outdoor seating/yard.

Great views: from the window seats or stepping outside, the whole panorama of Gomo Reservoir opens up in front of you.
Visiting on a weekday morning, we practically had the annex to ourselves until noon, taking photos and relaxing comfortably. The warm beige interior means basically any shot comes out looking great. 📸
⚠️ Honest drawbacks and what to watch with kids
Since this isn't a dedicated kids' café, there are a few spots that seemed a bit risky if kids wander off on their own.
- Floor-level height differences
- Sharp corners on the central metal tables
- The display shelf of porcelain coffee cups in front of the annex entrance
Even though it's set up with kids in mind, parents need to stay especially alert.
Verdict: a Pocheon café worth going back to 😍

Thanks to the twins sitting quietly and eating their bread while watching the fountain show, I got to have a relaxed café outing for the first time in a while — but it's definitely a place that requires extra attention and care from parents.
There was something nice about the rainy-day mood too, but we've already decided we're coming back together on a bright, sunny day! 😊
