Rainy-day indoor seats, kids' Hachuping drink: Pocheon's Geurine Oasis
In short
Geurine Oasis is a large bakery café on Jugyeopsan-ro in Socheul-eup, Pocheon, Gyeonggi, near Gwangneung Arboretum and Gomori Reservoir. Visiting with a child on a rainy day, the writer skipped the outdoor seats for the main building, which stays warmer from the bakery heat, and ordered an Americano, a salted einspänner condensed milk latte, a Hachuping peach drink for the child and ang-butter salt bread. Even in the rain, the Gomori Reservoir view and the reusable cups made Geurine Oasis a good final stop on a Pocheon trip.

Geurine Oasis: a bakery café near Gwangneung Arboretum in Pocheon
Geurine Oasis is a large bakery café on Jugyeopsan-ro in Socheul-eup, Pocheon, and it's famous as one of Pocheon's dog-friendly cafés. I went looking for a café near Gwangneung Arboretum and Gomori and ended up here.
By the way, this Pocheon trip was kind of a total flop — the hotel wasn't great, the water play wasn't great either — but thanks to the amazing gimbap (seaweed rice roll) place we found before the water play and Geurine Oasis on the way home, I ended up feeling like, wait, we actually ate well and had fun! What a relief that we got to end things on a high note with Geurine Oasis!!
Of course, being the weather-destroyer that I am, it rained on the day we visited, but Geurine Oasis was great even with the rain! And since the summer heat hadn't fully let up yet, a café outing on a day like this was actually really nice. The cool view of Gomori Reservoir was just gorgeous!!

There were no dog customers that day because of the rain, but the outdoor space is really spacious, so I imagine visitors coming with their dogs would be very happy here.

Main building or annex — where do you order at Geurine Oasis?
At Geurine Oasis, once you park and get out, you'll see two buildings. Facing the entrance from the parking area, the one on the left is the main building — that's where you order.

What's on the menu at Geurine Oasis
The bakery selection was pretty varied.

Fresh bread kept coming out, and the smell was amazing.

We'd already had breakfast, but that bread smell made us hungry all over again. My kid picked the ang-butter salt bread, so we decided to share it.

You order at the kiosk. My kid was staring at the kiosk screen and I noticed something weirdly out of place — turns out it's the dog menu, haha. There's pet milk and dog food items too, and it was so cute.

They even have fire-gazing firewood... We picked an Americano and a salted chouffener condensed milk latte, and my kid picked the Chachaping peach drink. There were so many drinks and so many desserts and breads that I couldn't fit them all in the photos, but honestly there was so much I wanted to try, haha.
Rainy day? Sit indoors in the main building
It was raining too hard to even think about drinking outside... The annex seemed pretty cold, so we decided to sit in the main building instead, where the warmth from the bakery ovens made it feel a bit less chilly. Even without going outdoors, the interior is really well decorated.

What we ordered at Geurine Oasis: salted einspänner latte and salt bread
When our order came out, the first thing that caught my eye was the cup!

Geurine Oasis uses eco-friendly reusable cups — you can even take them home for takeout, and apparently the material is the same one used for baby bottles, so it's safe to use. They were so pretty that I brought the leftover coffee home and washed the cup, haha.

My husband said the salted chouffener condensed milk latte had a great balance of salty and sweet. I only tried a bit of the cream on top, but I loved it right away — such a chewy, dense cream. The hot Americano was smooth and nutty too, in a good way.

The ang-butter bread looked really soft, and the outside was slightly crispy — exactly the texture we love. Loaded with red bean paste and plenty of butter inside, we ate it up happily.

Inside the Geurine Oasis annex and its terrace
I also went to check out the annex. It's decorated in a cozy yet modern style too, with a bit of a bar-like vibe. We didn't go because of the rain, but apparently you can freely head up to the outdoor terrace from there.

It rained quite a bit, so we didn't get to spend time outdoors, but even just glancing out for a moment felt healing. Watching Gomori Reservoir in the rain had its own kind of charm somehow. We come to Pocheon fairly often, and I'd love to come back next time when the weather's nice.

If you're looking for a large bakery café in Pocheon, or a dog-friendly café in Pocheon, this seems like a great option. A Pocheon café that was great even without a dog!
