Jungnang takeout: ₩2,500 cheese bulgogi burger and fried chicken

Today I'm introducing a takeout spot inside Dongbu Market in Jungnang-gu that sells handmade burgers and boneless fried chicken at seriously kind prices 🍗

This is Daroa Dongbu Market Branch (다로아 동부시장점) ✨️

It's way cheaper than fast food chains like McDx or Lotteria, but the quality is really good too 🍔

They also sell instant soup packs, so with just some rice you've got a whole meal sorted 🍚

It's 343m from Jungnang Station Exit 4 🌟 The yellow storefront makes it easy to spot 💛

There are simple outdoor tables in front of the store where you can eat 😉

There's a newly launched Irowoon Chicken and Irowoon Seasoned Chicken 🍗 The ones on display are samples — they fry it fresh once you order ✨️

Business must be booming !! ✨️ There were three staff members on hand, and while I was waiting for my order customers just kept coming in 👏

The price board — burgers start at ₩2,500

The prices are so kind 😲😲😲 Even convenience store burgers run over ₩3,000 these days, but the cheapest cheese bulgogi burger here starts at ₩2,500 !! 🍔

And it's not pre-made either — they make the burger to order ✨️

Irowoon bread — 10 for ₩10,000

There's currently a member-price event for Irowoon bread — join Daroa's KakaoTalk group chat and you can buy bread at the member price of ₩1,500 🥨

And if you buy 10, it's ₩10,000 !! That works out to about ₩1,000 each 👏 There's a nice variety too — soboru cream bread, sweet pea red bean bread, chrysanthemum-shaped bread, sweet potato red bean bread and more 🫓

They also have trendy snacks — from the chewy mochi balls that once swept Korea to Chinese konjac chewy candy 🥧

Instant soup packs, sherbet and drinks

There are instant soup packs here too 🍖

They're currently on discount, starting from ₩1,900 😲 Hanwoo brisket doenjang rice and beef seaweed soup are just ₩1,900 ✨️ Wow, my eyes are spinning~~~ 😵‍💫

They also sell frozen real sherbet. At bars I've paid over ₩10,000 for it, but here it's around ₩3,000 🍍

There's also americano/iced tea/canned drinks to have with your food 🍑

The portion is huge 🌟 pieces are the perfect bite size 😋 It's even better dipped in a mix of salt and pepper.

Sweet potato fries come included too 🍠 I actually prefer sweet potato fries over regular fries, so this combo is the best 👍 Sweet and savory, haha ✨️

Cheese bulgogi burger

Honestly, given the price, I'd have been fine even if it were just bread and patty — but it's loaded with vegetables too 🥬

The bulgogi sauce is sweet and the cheese is savory. With all the veggies it's not greasy at all, and makes a really satisfying meal 👍

I also bought 2 packs of the brisket doenjang rice ✨️ Planning to cook it up for a hearty meal before work tomorrow 🍲 I feel so lucky that a place like this opened up in my neighborhood 😃😃😃
