Weekday evening bakery run for cream mammoth bread: Tomoru Bakery

Today I'm at Tomoru Bakery, a bakery near Incheondaehak-ip-gu Station that everyone recommends in Songdo — let's get right into the review!!

Where Tomoru Bakery is — right across from the Coast Guard headquarters

This recommended Songdo bakery near Songdo Central Park, Tomoru Bakery, is located at 23 Haedoji-ro 120beon-gil. It's right across from the Korea Coast Guard headquarters.

Tomoru Bakery

We visited on a weekday around 7pm, and even though it was a weekday, customers kept streaming in because it's such a popular Songdo bakery haha. If you come too late the bread might be sold out, so I'd recommend getting there earlier haha.

Mostly takeout, but there are terrace seats too

This recommended Songdo Central Park bakery, Tomoru Bakery, operates mostly on takeout, but there's a terrace and a few indoor spots where you can sit for a bit.

With the weather this cool these days, it'd be nice to enjoy a drink out there haha. There are tables and chairs on both sides of the shop, great for cooling off on a nice day.

This recommended Songdo Central Park bakery, Tomoru Bakery, has won all sorts of awards, so I was already excited before I'd even picked anything.

What's on the shelves?

Let me show you the bread by type haha. There were lots of items that need refrigeration — strawberry roll cake, sandwiches, castella, mammoth bread — all great looking and not expensive, so it was fun picking a variety.

From basil tomato ciabatta and chocolate baguette to ciabatta and squid-ink bread, campagne and more — everything from plain, simple breads to loaded ones hearty enough for a whole meal haha.

There was garlic cheese salt bread, bacon potato salt bread, and other topped salt breads, plus sweet pumpkin rice bread and a big baguette haha. Small breads run ₩2,000–3,000 and big ones ₩5,000–6,000 — great value and full of tasty bread haha.

On one side there were rusks, cookies, garlic bread, apple pie, and an 'alligator' bread — all sorts of different textures.

There was the basic lineup too — salt bread and croissants, red bean bread and mont blanc, kkwabaegi (twisted doughnuts) and fried doughnuts, egg tarts and dinner rolls, muffins — so many choices. The white bread section had milk bread and corn bread too, which would be great with jam.

There were jams and cookies on one side too, which would make nice gift packaging.

Upstairs there was a good variety of muffins, madeleines and other baked snacks, so take your time browsing.

Birthday cakes, candles and toppers

It's also known for its cakes — strawberry cake, chocolate roll, fresh cream roll, chocolate cake and shine muscat cake, so if you're looking for a birthday cake in Songdo this is a good spot haha.

There were number candles, heart candles, toppers, and even party hats, so it'd be nice to grab a set if you're picking up a cake haha.

The gift packaging sets were well done too, and they're currently running a promotion where you get a free americano or iced tea for writing a receipt review — good to keep in mind.

The inside of the shop is fairly small, but the display case sits in the middle in a U-shape so you can browse comfortably even when it's crowded.

I picked out an armful of breads I wanted to try. Just so you know, chestnut bread can be packed whole or sliced haha.

You can also add a paper bag for packaging, which made it easy to carry my armful home.

The breads, tasted at home

I brought everything home and tried them one by one — the chocolate rusk cookie was seriously delicious. Great crunchy texture, and the chocolate had a rich aroma with a solid, deep flavor haha.

I also brought home the cream mammoth bread — my absolute favorite. It's packed with cream and topped with plenty of streusel on top, sweet and so good.

The basil tomato was tasty too — loaded with cream cheese and full of basil and tomato flavor, hearty enough for a whole meal haha.
