I'd been craving frozen pork belly again, so I headed to Naengsam Hanok near Exit 3 of Noryangjin Station. There I got to try frozen pork belly along with beef belly, thin-sliced pork belly, regular pork belly, plus steamed egg and doenjang jjigae. Here's the full review.

At 680g total, the portion was generous, and I was excited to try so many different cuts — pork belly, gochujang pork belly, frozen pork belly, beef belly, and more.

Sesame oil, gochujang, and honey butter seasoning came out. The honey butter seasoning was even tastier sprinkled on the potatoes.

First, I grilled up some minari (water celery), bracken fern, potato, and kimchi on the pan.

How did the five cuts taste, from frozen to gochujang pork belly?

The first round of meat came out, followed by the regular pork belly and gochujang pork belly. The portions were really generous.

The meat looked fresh, so I knew it'd be good.

Seeing the pan piled high made me want to dig in right away.

The frozen pork belly had no gamey smell at all, and it was moist and tender.

Next, I grilled the regular pork belly and gochujang pork belly.

The pork belly was moist and tender, the kind you keep reaching for. The gochujang pork belly also had the seasoning well soaked into the meat.

The meat went great on top of rice too. The gochujang pork belly especially, since it already comes pre-seasoned, was delicious even eaten plain.

I tried it with green onion salad and side dishes, and also wrapped in lettuce for ssam — it worked well no matter how I ate it.

Doenjang jjigae and steamed egg with the grill

The doenjang jjigae had a savory, comforting flavor. The steamed egg was soft in texture and paired well with the meat. Even as a complimentary side, the quality was impressive.

I also tried the potatoes that had been grilling on the pan. Sprinkled with the honey butter seasoning, they tasted just like tornado potatoes — really good.

The meat was so good I kept reaching for more. With generous portions, a variety of cuts to try, and steamed egg and doenjang jjigae included, it was a satisfying meal overall.
