Busan Korean BBQ for group dinners: Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil

In short

Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch is a Korean beef barbecue restaurant in Dong-gu, Busan. I tried three servings of Korean beef dwitgogi, with chuck flap, rib meat, and sirloin side meat, plus side dishes, beef miyeok-guk, and complimentary yukhoe for a review event. Verdict: a memorable pick for family meals and company dinners.

When you want a proper beef meal in Beomil-dong, you quietly end up wondering where to go, right? Especially when you are heading out with a group for a family dinner or company gathering, taste matters, but you also start weighing everything from parking and the atmosphere to private rooms.

This time I visited Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch (하누소뒷고기 범일점). It is located around Jobang Street, making it easy to find when you have plans in Beomil-dong, and the public parking lot right in front made it convenient to drive there, too.

Most of all, the Korean beef dwitgogi I had that day was far tastier than I expected, so it really stayed with me.

Jobang Street has long been one of Beomil-dong's best-known food streets, packed with restaurants and bars, so it is nice for a look around before or after your meal, too.

Being able to use the public parking lot directly in front of the restaurant was also a pretty major advantage for visitors arriving by car.

A space for company dinners and family gatherings alike

When I stepped inside, it was much more spacious than I had expected.

Along with regular tables, there were various options: areas suited to eating with a larger group and rooms where you can dine more privately.

That made me think it would be a great fit for anyone looking for a beef restaurant in Beomil-dong while also searching for a venue for a company dinner or group gathering. The layout works well not only for company dinners, but also for school reunions, social gatherings, and big family meals.

Having visited myself, I could definitely feel that the restaurant had been set up with group guests in mind.

The tender texture of three servings of Korean beef dwitgogi

That day, I ordered three servings of Korean beef dwitgogi and one bowl of rice.

At first, because of the name, I thought dwitgogi might just feel like an unusual cut or something. But my mind changed once the meat arrived. The color of the beef was gorgeous. Its bright red color and overall fresh-looking appearance had my anticipation rising before it even hit the grill.

The Korean beef dwitgogi I received that day included chuck flap, rib meat, and sirloin side meat.

It was actually fun to get to try several cuts at once like this. Once grilled, it just melted in my mouth 💕

I put the beef over charcoal, cooked the outside until it looked delicious, and took a bite—wow... it was seriously so much more tender.

The flavor was insane... ❤️

It had Korean beef's signature rich, nutty flavor and a texture that softened beautifully in the mouth without being tough or dry. It was also fun that each cut, such as the chuck flap and rib meat, had a slightly different texture.

I had not expected much just from the name “dwitgogi,” but once I tasted it, it almost felt like choosing and eating specialty Korean beef cuts.

Personally, I found myself thinking, can dwitgogi really be this good? It is a menu item worth trying at least once when you are craving beef in Beomil-dong.

Neat side dishes and beef miyeok-guk

At beef restaurants, there are times when there are simply too many side dishes and you do not reach for them, but the basic banchan (side dishes) here were neatly served and went well with the meat.

And the miyeok-guk (seaweed soup) that came with it! It had a generous amount of beef inside, so it was not just about sipping broth; it was fun to fish out and eat the beef, too.

I ordered a bowl of rice, and having a bite of meat, a spoonful of rice, and a spoonful of seaweed soup made for such a hearty meal.

Complimentary yukhoe for writing a review at the time of my visit

At the time of my visit, they were also running an event that gave you complimentary yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) for writing a review. Beef followed by free yukhoe—this was too good to miss. Eating the yukhoe with rice naturally made it feel like yukhoe bibimbap, and...

This combination was so much tastier than I expected. With the meat and a proper serving of rice, I felt satisfyingly full right through to the end.

Why it came to mind as a Beomil-dong company dinner venue

Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch felt like more than just a Beomil-dong beef restaurant where you eat and leave. It felt like a place that could be used in many ways, from family dining and company dinners to group gatherings such as reunions and social get-togethers.

It is also a solid choice for anyone who wants to enjoy premium Korean beef and a variety of beef cuts at a reasonable price. And for groups needing a private room, booking ahead before visiting seems like a good idea. When you are looking for a gathering spot on Jobang Street and wondering, where should we go?—this should definitely be on the list.

Final thoughts on Korean beef dwitgogi with several cuts

The three servings of Korean beef dwitgogi I tried this time were more satisfying than expected. I got to taste several cuts, including chuck flap, rib meat, and sirloin side meat, and once grilled, the beef was tender and seemed to melt in my mouth. It was truly delicious.

More than anything, unlike my initial expectation that dwitgogi would be a little casual because of its name, it offered the fun of flavor almost like specialty Korean beef cuts. Add the neat side dishes, seaweed soup loaded with beef, and review-event yukhoe, and my overall satisfaction with the meal was quite high.

If you are looking for great beef in Beomil-dong or a Beomil-dong beef restaurant that is good for company dinners, I think you can absolutely stop by Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch. For a group especially, the spacious restaurant and private rooms felt like clear advantages.
