Anguk pizza restaurant for whole corn pizza and seafood pasta: Low
In short
Low Five Anguk is a pizza and pasta restaurant on Bukchon-ro, a 3-minute walk from Anguk Station Exit 2 in Jongno, Seoul. The half-and-half pizza (whole corn and hot chili potato), classic Caesar salad, and hot pot pescatore pasta were all solid, but the white truffle cream corn pizza was one of the best pizzas the writer has had in a while. With its burgundy sofas and wood-tone interior, it's a spot worth revisiting for a Bukchon date.

Leaving a review of Low Five, a great spot for a date in Anguk, Bukchon! The vibe was lovely, and the whole corn pizza was especially, genuinely delicious +_+

Red awning, red brick exterior — the vibe looks good even from outside, right? Low Five started as a small brunch place, but it got popular and the menu kept growing, and now it's a popular pizza spot with branches in Suwon, Anguk, and Sinpung.

How long is the weekday wait?
There's no reservation system, but you can join a remote waitlist through Catch Table. It's popular even on weekdays, so seats fill up right after opening. Weekends have even longer waits. If you want to eat on a weekday without waiting, I'd recommend going after 1PM. Of course it varies by day, but when I visited, seats loosened up around 1PM.

A burgundy, wood-tone interior perfect for a date
The wood-tone interior with burgundy sofas and windows, plus plants and flower decorations, gave off a cozy yet upscale feeling. There were lights everywhere, so the whole space felt warm and snug. It's exactly the kind of atmosphere that's great for a date.

On the day I visited, the sunlight was really nice, and the light coming through the window looked so pretty. There are 2-seat and 4-seat tables, but also a big table that seats around 8, so it'd be great for a group gathering too.
Low Five is famous for its pizza, but the classic lasagna is also a really popular menu item — since it's only sold in limited quantity, I'd strongly recommend getting there right at opening if you want to order it..!

Classic Caesar salad, ₩12,000
The salad comes out with the dressing and cheese already well mixed in, so you just squeeze a little lemon on top. The refreshing lemon and the savory flavor of Reggiano cheese made it a nice, light appetizer. It also pairs well with the pizza and pasta, so I'd recommend having it alongside them too.

Half and half pizza, ₩26,000
As a root-vegetable lover, I couldn't pick just potato or just corn!! So I ordered the half and half pizza to enjoy both flavors.

I tried the corn pizza first. Whole cross-sections of corn were piled right on top. The moment I took a bite, o_o;; (ohhh) so good... best pizza I've had in a while. The white truffle cream base combined with butter seasoning for a rich, deep, savory flavor. The crunchy corn kernels and salty bacon went so well with the pizza sauce.

Next was the hot chili potato pizza. It's loaded with three styles of potato: diced potato, crispy shredded fried potato, and thinly sliced potato like potato chips. With a hot chili sauce base, it's slightly spicy, and since the potato textures vary, every bite felt different and fun to eat. If you like potatoes, I think you'll be satisfied!

Hot pot pescatore pasta, ₩21,000
This is a tomato sauce-based pasta packed with shrimp, squid, and clams. The spice level is only slightly hot — not too spicy at all, so I don't think it'll be too polarizing. The sauce is on the thinner, brothy side, so it's nice to eat it like a soup, and the pasta noodles stayed moist all the way through.
Why I want to go back
I'm not a huge pizza and pasta person, but Low Five's corn pizza was so good I already want to go back and eat it again. Big recommend on the corn pizza, seriously highly recommend it. The atmosphere is great too, so it's a pizza spot I want to revisit for a Bukchon Anguk date. Recommending Low Five in Bukchon Anguk.
