The tables were full so there was a short wait, but I could feel the good-restaurant energy and happily waited it out. While waiting, I took a little look around.

There's a bar counter for solo diners, and baby chairs neatly set up on one side of the restaurant, so it looked like a great place for families with kids or solo diners alike to eat comfortably. That thoughtfulness earned it extra points from me.

After sitting down and waiting a bit, they brought out the starter dishes!

The beef tartare sushi, with its savory-sweet sauce and chewy texture, burst with more flavor the more I chewed, and the umami-packed clam sushi was chewy yet tender, delivering a mouthful of satisfaction. The fish slices were also thick and satisfying to bite into, and the balance between the rice temperature and wasabi was spot on, so I kept marveling all the way to the last bite.
