Wet-aged pork by the cut at Hanmaeum, an Incheon Korean BBQ spot
In short
Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Nonhyeon-dong, Namdong, Incheon that wet-ages its own pork. Visiting with her parents as a party of four, the writer ordered the 500g half-pig set for ₩42,000 and two servings of aged ogyeopsal, then compared ogyeopsal (five-layer belly), samgyeopsal (pork belly), moksal (neck), gabrisal (skirt) and hangjeongsal (jowl) cut by cut. With no off-flavor in the aged meat, wide gaps between tables and a kids' zone, Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang is an easy pick for a family dinner.

I was looking for a family dinner spot with my parents when I found a place that wet-ages its pork — so I went to check it out.

The restaurant is on the first floor, so it was easy to find. Seeing the words "PREMIUM WET AGING" made me feel like this place takes aging seriously.
Inside the restaurant and the kids' zone

The place had quite a lot of tables, and the spacing between them was generous and comfortable.

There was also a kids' zone set up in one corner of the restaurant, which seemed great for visiting with children.

The self-bar had lettuce, shredded green onion, and several other side dishes that go well with meat.
Menu and prices

You could check the menu and order right away from a tablet at the table. The pork options ranged from whole-pig and half-pig sets to single orders of aged pork belly, neck, and skirt by the cut.
- Whole pig 1kg ₩74,000
- Half pig 500g ₩42,000
- Aged pork belly 180g ₩16,000
- Aged five-layer belly 180g ₩16,000
- Aged pork neck 180g ₩16,000
- Aged pork skirt 180g ₩17,000
Besides the aged pork, there was also beef, side dishes, a kids' menu, and a lunch special, so there was plenty to choose from depending on your taste.
What we ordered — half pig 500g ₩42,000, aged five-layer belly 2 servings ₩36,000
Side dishes and what comes with the meat

Once we ordered the meat, shredded green onion, kimchi, pickled onion, and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) were all set out on the table. Eating only meat can get a bit greasy after a while, but the tangy pickled onion and green onion helped reset the palate in between bites.
Tasting the aged pork cut by cut

The aged five-layer belly and pork belly were crispy outside, juicy inside. Maybe because they were well aged, there was no off-flavor at all. The pork neck released more juice the more I chewed it. It was on the tender side, and it paired really well with wasabi.

The pork skirt and jowl were chewy and packed with juice.

Since there were four of us, we ordered an extra two servings of the five-layer belly. Grilling garlic alongside it added even more flavor. For fattier cuts like the five-layer belly, a bit of wasabi added a sharp kick that cut through the richness. Rather than piling on a lot of wasabi, adding just a little at a time worked best without overpowering the meat's flavor. Alternating with green onion or pickled onion kept things from getting monotonous all the way through.
Is Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang worth a visit?
Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Incheon Nonhyeon Branch has a spacious dining room, making it a good pick for family meals or gatherings. Best of all, thanks to the half-pig menu, it was fun to try the aged pork belly, five-layer belly, neck, skirt, and jowl by the cut and find my favorite. With a separate kids' zone, it also seemed like a comfortable place to chat and eat even with children along. If you want to try a variety of pork cuts in Namdong, Incheon, this place is worth a visit.
